This French colonial estate house in Soufriere, St Lucia, is situated on a fully operating, 135-acre cocoa plantation. Surrounded by tropical gardens, this 19th century plantation is a World Heritage site. Fond Doux Estate boasts 3 tiered, outdoor pools with water falls and a gazebo. Mama La Terre Spa offers massage services and other therapeutic body treatments. Each cottage features unique architecture, hardwood floors and tropical colors. They are equipped with ceiling fans, a fridge and coffee maker. A private patio or balcony overlooking the gardens is offered. A free shuttle to Jalousie Beach is provided by Fond Doux Holiday Plantation. Plantation tours can be arranged at the concierge desk and extensive bird watching is available on site. The Cocoa Pod and Jardin Cacao restaurants both serve Caribbean and international cuisine. Open all day, the restaurants are situated among the lush vegetation where guests can also enjoy the tropical breeze. The staff was incredibly nice and accommodating. The cottage we stayed in was charming. The location was a bit inconvenient for beach-going. We had to hire drivers and we had one driver in particular who us uncomfortable. He was always trying to talk us into things. We wanted to go to a particular restaurant and he took us to a different one instead because he liked it better. We felt bullied.

Plantation où les clients peuvent cueillir les fruits des arbres, calme et environnement naturel, confort des bungalows qui sont isolés dans la verdure, espace autour du bungalow. Piscine isolée et dans la nature. Environnement naturel agréable. Personnel très aimable. Restaurant : très cher et très moyen pour la qualité ; internet : disponible uniquement à la réception. Sièges très inconfortables et on est exposé aux cris et récriminations du propriétaire contre son personnel et ses fournisseurs.
