Spent first night in king suite (5) which was not as described. It felt dark with low ceilings, had no view, no private sitting out area, mozzie nets on windows not fixed properly...
Doubtful if carpet mats in front of toilets/sinks (in either room) were changed for each guest.
The dining area has very uncomfortable seating. Bar area stools not much better. Nowhere in the hotel communal areas where you could comfortably sit and relax apart from plastic chairs around the pool.
Breakfast not up to scratch for the money. Not offered fresh juice and when we did ask, most days it was from cartons. The coffee and tea were abysmal.
Outside shower block was always locked so unusable unless you found 'security' to open them.
Independent locally owned hotel.
After one night we were move to room 3 which was light and bright with large four poster bed completely covered in mozzie netting, a high vaulted ceiling and a small balcony overlooking sea and Petit Piton.
Great location right on public beach with access to water taxis, dive school and an easy walk to town. I like local beaches which aren't made to be postcard perfect.
Decent snorkelling right off beach and within easy taxi boat distance to other snorkelling areas
Small pool in a lovely garden with lots of hummingbird and a great view.
Only ate dinner twice but very nice food with local organic veg.
Soufriere is a 'proper' town with everything you need inc. banks, doctor, supermarkets, local bars, some restaurants.
Despite my negative comments, we really did enjoy our stay.
