Helpful & friendly staff , simple but tasty meals, especially the curries.
The place is clean and calm. Food is excellent and economical with Lankan flavour. Mr. Jude has personal touch with each and every travellers. Good room, WIFI fcility and clean environment. Mr. Jude can aslo arrnage car for your travel in Srilanka with very economical way. Must visit and stay at Amanda Hills Kandy
Amanda Hills has an excellent outlook of Kandy. The Manager and staff are very friendly and courteous. Overall our stay in Amanda Hills was nice.
Cleanliness of hotel was an issue, our room had an ant issue (crawling up the toilet) and there was a moldy smell (it was raining, so that could explain it). The communal toilet in the breakfast area had mould in the sink and the toilet wasn't the cleanest.
Credit card was not accepted. Lobby is 3 floors down from entrance - no elevators .. Only 2 waiters and 1 cook was managing the property.
15 min drive from Kandy Lake.
Hotel is small, a bit overpriced
Order the food at the restaurant - chef was lovely and the curry was delicious and they refil for you!
Bathroom was so small and became very damp quickly.
Manager is nice and speaks good English. Good food and large breakfast Fairly good location Next to Sharon Inn which has a sumptuous dinner
First room had defective tv, was small and without view. Second room had defective tv. Tasteless coffee Overpriced laundry They charged for pickup at railway station.
Placed on top of a hil with gorgeous views, bramd new with excelent qualities, awesome breakfast at the terrace, helpful stuff, fair price
Closeness to town and main attractions in Kandy
Very friendly and helpful staff.would have stayed longer if the weather had been better. Built into the hillside with great views. The food served in the rooftop resturant was excellent.
No lift but good exersice.
Really nice and helpful staff, good breakfast and good internet conection.
It could be more clean, there is a lot of ants and not mosquito net.
The room and bathroom was clean. Nice ammenties, like the television, small refrigerator, and wifi. Great Sri Lankan breakfast that was included. The staff was helpful and helped me with my tours.
The family and hospitality The view The room was beautiful Lovely food
Have a Hillview and delicious breakfast. The room is a little small but comfortable. It is okay for this price~~~
It take some time to kandy lake~
location, staff, best pankaces and omelette :D
The staff were excellent and the breakfast was very nice. The room was comfortable and the view of the hills was lovely.
No swimming pool.
1. Pleasant restaurant area at the balcony with some view. 2. Nice staff. Good cook, and especially friendly towards russians.:) Understanding calm tuk-tuk driver Monjula (he is kind of like a household tuk-tuk of the hotel).
In our room shower drain was nearly totally blocked.
View is fantastic. Location away from traffic, comfy room. Breakfast was consistently awesome, you won't need lunch! Gave me a different Sri Lankan breakfast dish on top of the full western fare. Great staff.
Air con was going to be $20 extra per night, which is ridiculous. Managed with fan though, so the environment and my wallet win this time. Laundry was far too expensive. Wifi was very inconsistent, but that could just be Kandy.
We travelled with our 5 years old daughter and the moment went in, we had a homely reception. This is an Exceptional among the hoteliers. Staffs was very polite and food was nice. The manager, Mr Jude, simply amazing and he does his outmost to make ur trip perfect. Thanks Amanda Hills. See you next time. Naveen & Family, Swiss.
The location is very close to the lake, but you have to walk a bit longer to the city centre. Great view from the restaurant.
The staff, the chef and kitchen staff who invited us to watch the preparation of food. The room was comfy and the shower was wonderful!
Access only by many very steep steps from both the upper level front entrance and the bottom level back entrance. The take away dinner provided was inedible. The place was dirty, ants infested the breakfast buffet, the bread was stale. Rubbish was piled up in the neighbouring property alongside our balcony. We checked out after only one night although we paid for 3 nights.
We were away from the hustle and bustle of the city during the Perahara which was good. The food was good and the chef charming. Manager and other staff friendly and helpful. Bed very comfortable. Nice to walk down to the city and get tuk tuk back
Rooms were a bit tired and needed some TLC. A few things needed to be working properly on arrival, however theses were fixed within a couple of days. Driver for day trip was crazy and wouldn't recommend!
Great guys working at the hotel. They arranged a great welcome for us with breakfast at local cafe (that was strange, but very nice). Wonderful choice of excursions, amazing guides, clean rooms (maybe they're a little bit small, but for the price we paid, that was perfect). Good restaurant (nice breakfast, wide choice of meals for lunch ans dinner). Very friendly personnel! Especially Jude (manager), Prasanna and Gamini ( the most amazing guide ever!)
The view and the guys working there
AC is way overpriced
