Amaya Chalets  

The rooms are nice with a room and small living room (TV). One commun space with computer, wifi, books.... The father and son were very hospitable ;)

The owner (whom I presume was the owner) was incredibly friendly. We stayed at the beginning of our trip and at the end of our trip (a week apart) and each time he made sure to personally speak with us. It's quiet and tucked away off of any busy streets.

Nothing.

Mosquitoes, room was musty, sheets and towels smelly, no air-con, no amenities, caretaker is not bothered to respond to requests; taps are faulty; water supply got disrupted while bathing; atrocious service - no mineral water. TV doesn't work. Not fit for average traveller.

the owner and his wife were super nice and helpful! They'll definitely help u in any case.

One of those two chalets is non-AC one,I thought it was ok without it,but turned out that for the heat there,AC was quite necessary.and BTW,the place is really hard to find,My taxi driver almost stopped in every crossing to ask peopel for help.........

We stayed there only overnight on our way to another part of Lanka and had everything we expected. The owner and his wife vere very nice and friendly, I think we actually got their own summerhouse as the 'original' place was full

A villa wiht living room，three bed rooms, garden and kitchen. Quite place.

Although the fee is paid by credit card. But the owner also asked me pay in cash. And the bank not return the fee untill now.......

Very friendly owner who stayed up till 3am for our super late arrival. Place was decent and clean. Good for a good night's rest before we start our Sri Lanka adventures around the country.

Expansive for this kind of hotel

The family running Amaya Chalets were outstandingly welcoming and helpful. The place is very clean and beautifully arranged. We have enjoyed staying there for three days and can only recommend it, exspecially for acclimatizing oneself after arriving the pretty close International Airport. Thank you again for the great time :)

It is pretty hard to get there! Most of the tuk-tuk drivers won't know it and/or mix it up with "Amaya Beach House", so be careful. Best thing to do, having the contact phone number at hand and let your driver get the directions from the host family directly.

Znakowmity stosunek ceny do jakości. Bardzo przyzwoicie wyposażone domki, co prawda w zncznej odleglości od plaży, jednak dojazd tanimi tuktukami dostracza emocji.

1. очень хорошая цена. налогов не платил. возможно потому, что сразу после приезда заплатил, что было у меня в бронировании. и приезжал я уже к утру, но бронировал в этот день полные сутки. всего было забронировано три ночи там. после приезда полдня отсыпался. 2. Очень хорошо владеет английским. Моих знаний мало, поэтому, общались с ним по айпаду через букинг.транслейт. 3. Так как бронировал за 10 дней до поездки, то поинтересовался трансфером и арендой машины с водителем. Очень подробно и деликатно все объяснял. 4. Трансфер от аэропорта на машине с водителем и со встречающим ночью - 25$. Самолет задержался на 1,5 часа, доплат не брали. Ехать немного. Но зато персонально встретили без проблем. В аэропорту обменивал сразу деньги, безопаснее и курс хороший. 5. Программа путешествия по острову была организована чудесно и бюджетно, так, как мне и хотелось. 6. Местоположение. Оно же и плюс, оно же и минус.

1. в номере без кондиционера душно. с кондиционером - холодно, так как ветер дует прямо на кровать. он платный, но в последний день мне разрешили им бесплатно воспользоваться, но я отказался из-а боязни простыть. да и шум от него. есть вентилятор, но опять же - шуп. открывать форточки - это от духоты не поможет. ночью из-за этого очень трудно. 2. Далеко от пляжа, пешком минут 50. на тук-туке 200 рупий и минут 10. Дом находится в жилой части. Это минус, в плане расположения, но это большой плюс, как спокойствие и тишина, утром звуки природы чудесны. Поблизости нет точек покупки еды (нет магазинов или ресторанов). Пешком минут 15.

Были транзитом пару дней. В целом понравилось. Хороший гест, тихое место, дружелюбные хозяева - организовали трансфер (16,5$ в одну сторону) в аэропорт, встретили, разместили. Комнаты чистые, есть холодильник, чайник и телевизор с двд плеером+ набор фильмов))

1.Не оказалось москитной сетки над кроватью ребенка (пришлось спать втроем на большой кровати). 2. Нужно брать тук-тук, чтобы добраться до города (в округе ничего интересного нет) 3. В номере не ловит wi-fi, поскольку он крайний и туда не добивает роутер.

отличный гест с всегда готовыми помоч хозяевами, чисто, тихо, есть вайфай,есть кондей за доп плату. жил две недели, доволен.

I like nothing about Amaya Chalets, because we didn't stay at Amaya Chalets not because we cancelled the reservation, because the owner ditched us at the time of check-in. We arrived at Amaya Chalets, Negombo, and found out the door of Amaya Chalets was locked with no-one in there and called the owner number. The owner said that he was in Kandy and the hotel was under repairing and didn't explain too much to us and no apologies, and told us to find somewhere to stay by our own at that evening. The owner of Amaya Chalets should have to notice us before our arrival, and saved us some troubles finding a new place to stay for the evening.

We had a bad time at that evening after we found out that our hotel ditched us. 5 of us arrived at Negombo and needed to find a new place to stay which was stressful. Amaya Chalets should inform us the information before our departure.

It's not a hotel more like a guest house run by the family. The owner was very kind and helpful. The room was clean. We felt like we were at home. There was no service so no comments about that. You feel safe being with a family. The neighborhood is calm but a bit far from the city so if you are planning to go shopping then be ready to spend on transport.There are a few Muslim eateries nearby about 10 minutes walk. It's suitable for middle east travellers with families.I Even left my son alone there when we went to the nearby fruit market. The owner went out of his way to help out. All in all good value for money. I would be staying there again on my next trip, insha Allah.
