Unfortunately due to my recovering from two breaks (ankle and femur) I wasn't able to get to the beach so I can't give you an account but it did look pretty wicked, as for negumbo resort what a great place to get a very relaxing holiday, really good bars with all the latest music and serious food in the restaurant's. I didn't really like Negombo, It has a dirty, noisy road running alongside the beaches which makes it really unpleasant to walk around. There's very little access to the beaches along side this road. There a few nice restaurants, we enjoyed Prego. I would say as a town it's our least favourite place we went to in Sri Lanka and doesn't really reflect the rest of the country which was beautiful.
