Castle Hill Guest House  

It's a beautiful old house with a garden, overlooking to Kandy town from above.

Although it was good, beds could be more comfortable.

Loved the 1930's style

poor maintenance. Both bedside table lamp not working. as the house is old, it comes with old bathroom that need scrubbing. But OK considering its low pricing.

Le staff est très accueillant et toujours au petit soin. La vue sur Kandy est sublime, l'hôtel est idéalement situé.

Une propriétaire inexistente qui ne daigne pas sortir de son bureau, ni pour vous accueillir, ni pour vous conseiller. Elle laisse le personnel géré la guesthouse, la communication est parfois compliquée. Bien que cette maison jouisse d'un beau jardin , elle est vieillissante, les chambres sont vétustes et poussiéreuses.

Incredibilmente sporco: lenzuolo con I buchi, zanzariera sporca e polverosa, pavimenti sporchi, bagno indecente. Abbiamo richiesto alla prenotazione il posto per il nostro autista. La sistemazione proposta era uno sgabuzzino disumano.

Das Personal ist sehr langsam Das macht Muehe wenn man einen Termin hat Schade dass das Bad nicht besser ist dann waere es ein echter Hit

La chambre est grande Le petit déjeuner est correct La vue sur Kandy depuis le jardin

La salle de bain aurait besoin d'une sérieuse rénovation et en plus elle était sale Les chambres ne sont pas faites quand on reste plusieurs jours L'hébergement mis a disposition des chauffeurs est repoussant, des chiens dorment au même endroit Le staff en plus d'être indifférent comprend très peu l'anglais.

отель расположен на горе, откуда открывается невероятный вид на озеро Канди и статую Будды, отель оправдывает свое название и действительно напоминает старинный замок или старинное поместье, все здание и комнаты пропитаны волшебной атмосферой старины. The hotel is situated on the high hill from where an awesome view on Kandy lake and Budda Statue is opened. The hotel proofs its name: it really looks like an ancient castle or an ancient estate. The whole building and all the rooms have magic atmosphere of history.

отсутствие двухместных кроватей, за 3 дня в номере ни разу не убрались и не меняли полотенца. Ящерицы!!! the absence of comfortable double bed, no cleaning and changing towels during three days. Lizards!!!

Riesige Zimmer, sehr entspannte Atmosphäre, toller Blick, gutes Essen.

Located high up in the hills overlooking Kandy lake. Breakfast was your typical Sri Lankan omelette and fruit.

Rooms were very basic.

The grounds of the guesthouse looked great.

Didn't actually stay here. Despite booking a room in November and phoning the morning of our arrival to confirm, when we arrived we were told that there had been a mistake and they were overbooked. Fortunately they had arranged something for us, and, while the alternative was perfectly nice, it was not where we had wanted to stay, nor were we offered any reduction in the cost.

good size rooms with lovely views over kandy lake, great place to watch the bats. good value for money and fine for a few days stay in kandy.

the guest house felt abit open and thought room security could be an issue, nothing did happen just the feeling that it could do.

部屋の清掃が行き届いていません。床は素足で歩ける状態ではないほど汚く、この点は室内でも靴を履いて生活- する欧米文化圏の方には問題ないかと思いますが、日本人には辛いと思います。シャワールームのカーテンもカ- ビだらけであり、各所にホコリがあり部屋ではリラックスできませんでした。 建物には趣がありますので、欧州からの観光客には概ね高評価ではないかと思いますが、日本人の感覚からする- と、この清潔度には問題があると言わざるをえません。同じ宿泊価格でもっと清潔で快適なホテルは市内にたく- さんあると思われます。 また、予約時に明記されていたテレビも、故障中とのことで実際にはなく、その他の照明等の備品も、壊れたま- まの状態のものがいくつかありました。ゲストが快適に滞在できるように配慮するというホテル側の意識も、薄- いように思えました。 周囲には何も店がなく、静かに過ごしたい人には良いのかもしれませんが、不便さも感じました。 総合的に見て、自信を持っておすすめできる宿ではありません。

見晴らしがすごくいいです。キャンディ湖が一望できます。素敵な建物とお部屋でリラックスできます。 This hotel commands a fine view of the lake kandy. The hotel looks fine on the outside. the room was very nice large and clean.

前日に、明日朝7時半にタクシーを呼んでほしいと頼んでいたのに、忘れられていた。あやうくその日1本しか- ない電車に乗り遅れそうになった。 結局ホテルの車で駅まで送ってくれたが、自分たちのミスなのに、悪気なく250ルピーと言われたのには、本- 当に頭にきた。 I asked the hotel staff to call me a taxi on the next morning, but was forgotten.I was likely to miss only one train on that day.
