In pictures it was good only
Lone planet.. No proximity to town and worst food option Staff was worst in whole of Sri Lanka (i stayed in 5 other hotels during my trip and found staff here the worst) No customer service approach.. President manager Mr Jayman tried to make up for damaged done by hotel staff but it was too late and wasnt enough either.. I was charged 29k SL rupees for booking online and even they charged my credit card a month earlier and then their staff tried to put it on booking.com which isnt the case. Wont recommend to anyone at all
very picturesque friendly helpful staff rooms very comfortable and spacious good choice at breakfast
quite a long walk from reception to bungalow
Rooms are pretty god
Lawsy reception "live band" playing old fashioned European music during dinner was irritating
The location, the cleanliness of rooms, quiteness, the quality and variety of dishes.
When we checked out, frint desk told us we had paid all our bills and all our account was settled. Then that evenong when we got a call the was account to be settled and the manager had to come to our next Hotel, Gateway Airport in Negombo and waited at the lobby to settle the account. It was bit embarassing for us as people may have thought we sneaked out of Club Palm Beach w/o setteling the account. I asked many times at the front desk to make sure the accounts are settled. Our family holds to a high ethical standard. We will gladly pay for the service we received. Besides, it is also the country that I was born.
Spacious well laid out grounds. Excellent pool. Good buffet .big well appointed rooms
Entrance from beach a bit average.
The room was clean and comfortable. Luckily it was away of the noise at the pool (other rooms where close to the pool, so I don't want to imagine being there)
If you like to spend your days on a resort crowded of excursionists, this is your place. Yes, people not sleeping in the hotel: only going there to be around the pool, playing their music, having LOUD activities, and having their kids running everywhere. And besides, when you arrive, they demand you to pay in full, and the price you had when booking DIDN'T have the taxes!!! So you pay easily 20% extra. Pricy and SLOW restaurant. If I make new enemies, I'll send them there.
The spacious room was delightful and kept very clean. Fantastic pool
The service in the dining room was very slow.
The overall environment , the breathtaking view, the superb service, the food.. & the stay there
The food at times...
In Club Palm Bay we spent almost one week. Before we stayed in few another hotels in Sri Lanka - this one is the best.Nice and clean rooms, perfect food, huge and good pool... And most important - nice and kindly hotel staff. We would like to visit them again. Ingrid and Brons
Public areas open and no parts with aircon so mosquito rife No wifi in rooms (even if with a payment option) No Gaggia (coffee machine) in bar!
Too many birds at the pool, bathing and drinkeing form the water! The television did not work.
The bungalows were very spacious and clean.
The staff at the reception was very slow. The water in the swimming pool was too warm, and too many crows in and around it.
Pleasant layout of chalets large pool comfortable room attentive staff
Rooms were clean and well maintained. Staff were pleasent.
We had booked a triple room and indicated that we would be checking in at 2 pm. At 3.30 pm the room was not ready. It was prepared for only 2 guests. Several reminders were required for the additional bed. Pool towels were not available, that maybe due to the high guest turnout.
Nice location, beach right across the street from hotel. Biggest pool I've ever seen, super clean, with plenty of beds/towels etc. Dennam Spittle in the main restaurant is what is needed for Sri Lanka's hotel industry to flourish. Well spoken, charming, and extremely helpful.
We had an elderly guest in a wheelchair with us, and they booked us into a room miles away from anywhere. Evening entertainment is provided by awful bands singing English songs, much better to just play a cd as its painful! Housekeeping was very inefficient, messed up room service order, milk packets were all spoiled and had to request milk many times, no mini fridge in room (later provided), burnt out bulbs in room etc
Awesome pool, the food was fantastic compared to 5star hotels, well balanced buffet and the drinks are nice. Good rooms and well cleaned and spaceous..friendly and helpful staff. Overall its a superb place. Will visit again...
Pool can be cleaned more. Small flying incests all over, better come up with a solution for that. Food orders takes a long time. These are small issues, I hope they will overcome these issues soon.
Facilities, particularly pool, great; rooms fantastic; well maintained; buffet good
Reception staff didnt provide any info on how resort operated if you didnt have an all-inclusive package; food service at al a carte restaurant slow;
This hotel has no access to the beach! You have to leave the resort to reach the beach... Restaurant is open in very short periods and if you want to eat at 5 PM you will hear closed! It is very far from all attraction and you will find very poor and expensive service from local travel "agents". Definitely not worth the money.
+ great food, pool, gardens, lagoon, beach, most employees friendly
most gym apparatus not functioning, ayurveda mail therapist too intimate with young men, embarrassing, tasteless and outdated "club Palm Bay Queen Contest", activity in restaurant poorly organized (got drinks at the end or after the meal, had to constantly ask), the English proficiency of employees (even one of the receptionists) on the whole very poor. Diminishes the work experience for the employees, poorer service
- The spaciousness of the hotel - Flexibility of some of the staff - Good pool
- food (pretty basic and tasteless) The buffet was a disgrace for a hotel of this stature. - Over priced for what it is. - Payment systems etc.. are from the stone age resulting in delays etc..
Just a normal resort. Don`t expect anything exceptional (other than the price). We paid a high price and expected a lot, but what we obtained was just an ok resort.
The customer service , Staff knowledge about the hotel facilities, Time taken to deliver food for in room dining and buffet selection. I an afraid I would not recommend or revisit the hotel.
a wonderful place , much better than we expected. it look and feel like a 5star hotel the pool is the nicer that we ever seen. the food is cheep for this kind of hotel and very good
