The great advantage of this hotel is the restaurant which is one of the best in Dambulla. The hotel's tuk-tuk driver was brill too - kind, helpful and did not overcharge. Good location short walk to temples and 45 mins tuk-tuk ride to Sigiriya Palace, Lion Rock. We highly recommend Heritage Dambulla!

It´s very close to the temple and from here you can easily visit Sigiriya and polonnaruwa (don´t miss it! and the best way is to rent bicyles there to discover the place). Great rooms and very clean. Good food in the restaurant. This was good since we didn´t find any other proper restaurants in Dambulla.

The road is a bit loud and during the weekend the staff stayed up late keeping the guests awake when we were there..

Location is great. It's walking distance from attractions.

We booked a room with a full-size bed. We received a twin-room with 3 single beds in it. When asking why this was so, we were told that the day before somebody arrived (without reservation) and choose the room with the double/fullsize bed. Make sure to contact them in advance and ask for a full-size bed, since there was a lot of confusion with the staff member what a twin room and what a double room meant.

Great spot to travel to sigiriya or any of the national parks. A much better destination than kandy. Really friendly staff. It's a very small place so very relaxed. Nice food Room basic but cheap Reception sorted out all our trips for us including the safaris.

Hotel is located near the noisy and busy road so you will hear roar of cars, vans, buses the whole night. The hotel building is quite old with brief repair. Be prepared to low water pressure in the shower. Old rug in the room makes awful smell.

The food was of good quality although a little over priced. The bedroom (103) was large, well decorated and comfortable. The location is good for travelling on day trips to Sigiriya and Polonnaruwa.

The service in the restaurant was the worst we experienced during our 16 day holiday to Sri Lanka, the staff didn't know what was available from the menu, despite not being busy it took an unacceptable amount of time to greet us, to take drinks and food orders and to bring the ordered items to our table. They failed to display the welcoming and friendly nature that we had become accustomed to throughout Sri Lanka. Our bathroom was dirty, there were no towels and the room was not serviced - the hygiene paper was not replenished. It is very close to the road and there is constant traffic throughout the night - earplugs and a sleep mask are essential. There is nothing to do in Dambulla - we recommend staying in Sigiriya instead as there is lots more choice of places to stay and eat, and it looks to be much more peaceful.

good location from Dambulla Bus terminal and go to Rock temple. Launch menu is good value and good taste per cost.

Hot water supplying and drainage are poor but not only here. cleanliness is average level.

Hostel is just 5 minutes walk from Dambulla rock temples ticket office! The reception staff was helpful and nice. Rooms and restaurant decor - clearly someone had a good idea about the design.

Unfortunately it is located very close to a very busy road. Room was very dark with insufficient number of lamps. Bathroom facilities were very much worn and not always working well. Aircon was completely broken - but still we needed to pay for A/C room. Acceptable for one night stay but in its current condition not a good value for money.
