Rooms are clean and view from rooms is breathtaking ,beautiful place ,the food was perfect

One of the reception staff was not friendly

The room was very small. All kinds of insects were found. Food smells so bad. The way to the hotel was so difficult, dangerous to reach, and nothing around you, only staying inside the hotel. Staff at lower levels would respect you only to give them money, and staff at higher levels were so rude, as they cheated me after I booked a room with a balcony according to what was mentioned in my booking, then when I arrived, only 3 rooms were with balcony which were all occupied, they immediately removed the word "balcony" from the facilities mentioned on the website for the same room!!! I don't recommend staying at this hotel at all. It might be good to visit for half an hour max., but not to stay in.

There was nothing to fault with this hotel. Service was excellent from check in until check out. Stayed on the executive floor with stunning views over the surrounding tea plantations. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. The food was extremely varied for breakfast and the train carriage fine dining experience is definitely worthwhile.

I liked everything about this hotel.

"dancing" at the cinese buffet evening: we think that it doesn't go together well with the smart dress code request!

Staying at the Tea Factory is more than spending a night somewhere. It is an unforgettable experience at a magnificent place transporting you a century back in time with all luxury. The rooms are very traditional with beautiful views over the tea plantations. We had dinner at the train carriage which was an experience on its own (a six course dinner of high quality under 30euros!). It's a bit pricey, specially for the country's standard but worth the experience.

A very scenic and charming hotel. Rooms were lovely, very comfortable. Great buffet breakfast spread!

The restaurant's ala carte menu could be more varied. Many insects fly into the room at night so we have to close the windows.

The welcome was good, staff were attentive and friendly. The design of the hotel is unique and works well.

The room was rather small and the cooking smells seemed to collect there. There was limited choice in the buffet dinners for vegetarians.

The property is well very done and restored. The staff is polite and attentive. The atmosphere is luxorious and the location is excellent. The food too is very nice.

I loved the ambiance. The room was very nice and comfortable. Our dining experience in the train carriage was out of the ordinary, fun and romantic. The "conductor" was wonderful! Plucking out own tea was fun and educational. The scenery was spectacular.

We supposed to go to horton plains with the van and we paid 6000 rupee for two way transport according to their tariff , but in the morning it was only an ordinary sedan car with same price ! We had to pay 3500 rupee to the driver for train tickets And when we gave him 100$ he gave us back 60$ !! It means that he changed our dollar in a rate 87.5 !!! Instead of 120

The hotel is very unique being an old factory in the middle of the tea plantation, but has been beautifully converted into rooms.

The long drive down a narrow road to get there.

Location & views were fantastic. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Train carriage dinner was a unique experience, fantastic. Dont waste your time going out to dinner at the "Hill Club", in-house meals were much better. Loved the old world ambiance and historical memorabilia. Loved the caged old world elevator!

Selection of teas on offer and gifts in your shop were very disappointing, there is a great opportunity for you to improve this.

This is really close to 5 star accommodation. Staff are highly educated, very polite. Charming hotel. Dining could be world class 5 course degustation plus dessert/cheeses; a la carte or smorgasboard.

The weather! Raining, however, the hotel had a few pot belly stoves to keep you cosy.

Superb location. Lovely rooms with fabulous views.

Booking in too intense with train dining offer - not a good idea after having travelled a long way. Poor service when checking out - bill not ready from restaurant even after 12 hours, should have been easy. Staff friendly but a little over zealous - took plates too quickly and hovered around tables too much. Food good but not superb.

The Tea Factory is a lovely hotel set in the heart of 'tea country'. My 15 year old daughter and I enjoyed picking tea, walking and playing board games in the lounge next to the fire. The dinning room was decorated beautifully for Christmas and the food was excellent. We very much enjoyed our visit!

I don't like the elevator

Staff was rude rayseis Thayer was seeing us as reach pepole so thy giving us du el price for any thing that we will request talking with each other about the guest Thay are soo bed

Really nice hotel. Unfortunately our first night was spoiled by barking from nearby dogs. HTF moved and upgraded us, very good service. Had supper in the train carriage------great fun and lovely food.

It is a unique experience in a wonderful setting the village around the hotel is amazing to explore breakfast buffet wonderful wood burning stoves gave a nice feel to the areas where they were situated nice cosy bar

it felt a little like a tourist attraction and had a conveyor belt approach very little personal attention given food options not explained well for evening meals our room on the first night was above the restaurant and very noisy, no rate reduction or full apology was received received laundry back damp and very creased
