A bit to travel to town ,appx 10 km.A nice place to relax without a disturbance. Rooms are nice & coosy. Nice garden with flowers well maintained. Friends staff & management.
The pool heater didn't work. The food seems to be v v expensive . The room bar fridge is empty!!! Why have it ?The rice & curry cost Rs 2300/- for each person!!!. I think they should re price the whole Menu. The room chargers also on the high side.
Friendly staff, able to cook traditional Sri Lankan food, as we didn't want to eat from the English menu. Stunning location for breakfast.
Road to hotel not finished. Scarey journey to get there. Sure it will be good when the road is finished! Had to go online to find hotel telephone number, as booking.com gave the wrong one, which was poor.
location is nice
Road to hotel bad. Staff and atmosphere of the hotel miserable and dull. Expensive. Eating in the restaurant on the first evening I spotted mouse poison under a dining cabinet, very visible, my advice would be to get a cat it looks much better. Spa amateurish. Basically a bad choice and poor all round.
Pretty, tranquil setting. Helpful friendly staff
Too far out of town. (30 mins) Tiny awkward shower.- difficult to regulate water Very expensive for what you get.
Accepting that the road works are temporary, the locationof the property was marvellous.
It was very disappointing that the hotel failed to offer any support when the transport they had arranged on our behalf to take us back to Kandy broke down. Despite the fact that they were told during a phone call to them that the vehicle had broken down half an hour outside of Kandy and we were at risk of missing the train back to Colombo, they declined to speak to the driver on our behalf. Given the langage barrier and the fact that the driver would not allow us to leave in the tuk tuk we had flagged down to complete the journey,we had no choice other than to pay the driver the full amount. The experiene was very frightening and I would recommend that the hotel reconstders how such a situation could be avoided in the future.
Location in the top of the mountain surrounded by tea plantation
No good choice of food. the choice is very limited and very expensive
mountaineer green land location very pretty nature
very bad night mare road to hotel extreme poor hygiene very old furniture
Welcome from the staff. The honeymoon gifts we received. The amazing off-menu Sri Lankan rice and curry the chef made us. The vew from our room
The road to the hotel wasn't finished, don't recommend driving there at night.
Nice view and calm place Comfortable small rooms Delicious meals Tennis court
Road is under construction, during the day time is noisy but this is going to be fixed in a month
Neat, clean and well looked after property
Staff was a bit lost and the spa was closed. Not as nice as it seems and not worth the price.
Bad road from Nuwara Elya Generally far out
The staff were friendly. The hotel is attractive.
I think the place is lacking some basic investment. The 'heated pool' wasn't heated because, we were told, the heater wasn't working. The promised mountain bikes (from the web site) were not available and no alternative was offered. The pool table is in poor repair (a simple fix - just needs chalk and a new triangle plus a bit of glue/nails). But mainly the restaurant was aggressively overpriced - more expensive than Colombo for very average, bland and old fashioned 'French style' food with nothing reasonably priced on offer. The curry (not on the menu) was much better than the menu items. Stiff and awkward atmosphere with 'elevator' music didn't improve the experience. It felt like we were trapped here, due to the location, and then taken advantage of. Sorry to say that this was the first and last time we will stay with an Amaya group hotel.
Nice and welcoming staff. Lovely swimming pool.delicious food . Will definitely come again. Had a nice band playing and we danced .!
Resin from the decking around the pool stuck to our feet. My daughter's foot got stuck in her flip flop which was glued to the resin. It was so hot and no one's fault. The staff and manager were very helpful. Thank you very much. See you soon
The staff, specially the executive Chef Sanjaya and a Server Nalin in the Dining room.
The Access road which is under construction.
They upgrade our room type for free :)
Great location and views. Very relaxing set up with lovely walks nearby and wonderful tennis court. Nice room, good size with views out windows.
Massage was pretty poor and over-priced for the quality.
All facility features are under maintenance & you do not have any enjoyment. Not recommended for leisure time at all.
View is amazing Hotel is clean & very british
Road under construction & difficult to reach nothing to do there food is unacceptable for the price
The Location is exleant
the room is not comfort because is allot of noise coming from the kitchen fan
Everything. Best spot we stayed at in Sri Lanka and certainly the best value for money
Fresh air and good tea plantation view. Good food though pricey with limited selection.
The journey to the hotel is one of the most tiring experience of our trip in Sri Lanka. Though only about 15 km from the town , the arduous journey through bumpy dirt road took about 45min to an hour. Needless to say, once there, we will not go out for the rest of the day. There is only one restaurant , though the food is good, is not enough entertainment for the family stuck there. Unless one wants solitude and isolation for the holiday, this is no place for a standard tourist/family who wants sightseeing, fun and shopping..
Breakfast - A la Carte Location - Away from it all! Decor - real classy! Super friendly staff I love their welcome tea with chocolate cookies, cake and samosas
I did not like to leave the place!
1-The hotel manager offered a discount as an apology for my upset from hotel. 2-The breakfast.
1-the why to hotel was miserable u'll west ur time & effort to reach the hotel. 2-no activities near or around hotel it was boring. 3-some of ground floor rooms very small with no view and next to the reception, car parking wich makes it very noisy. 4-The hotel dose not earn this amount of mony.
