Neat, clean and well looked after property

Staff was a bit lost and the spa was closed. Not as nice as it seems and not worth the price.

The staff were friendly. The hotel is attractive.

I think the place is lacking some basic investment. The 'heated pool' wasn't heated because, we were told, the heater wasn't working. The promised mountain bikes (from the web site) were not available and no alternative was offered. The pool table is in poor repair (a simple fix - just needs chalk and a new triangle plus a bit of glue/nails). But mainly the restaurant was aggressively overpriced - more expensive than Colombo for very average, bland and old fashioned 'French style' food with nothing reasonably priced on offer. The curry (not on the menu) was much better than the menu items. Stiff and awkward atmosphere with 'elevator' music didn't improve the experience. It felt like we were trapped here, due to the location, and then taken advantage of. Sorry to say that this was the first and last time we will stay with an Amaya group hotel.

Nice and welcoming staff. Lovely swimming pool.delicious food . Will definitely come again. Had a nice band playing and we danced .!

Resin from the decking around the pool stuck to our feet. My daughter's foot got stuck in her flip flop which was glued to the resin. It was so hot and no one's fault. The staff and manager were very helpful. Thank you very much. See you soon

Great location and views. Very relaxing set up with lovely walks nearby and wonderful tennis court. Nice room, good size with views out windows.

Massage was pretty poor and over-priced for the quality.

Everything. Best spot we stayed at in Sri Lanka and certainly the best value for money

Fresh air and good tea plantation view. Good food though pricey with limited selection.

The journey to the hotel is one of the most tiring experience of our trip in Sri Lanka. Though only about 15 km from the town , the arduous journey through bumpy dirt road took about 45min to an hour. Needless to say, once there, we will not go out for the rest of the day. There is only one restaurant , though the food is good, is not enough entertainment for the family stuck there. Unless one wants solitude and isolation for the holiday, this is no place for a standard tourist/family who wants sightseeing, fun and shopping..

1-The hotel manager offered a discount as an apology for my upset from hotel. 2-The breakfast.

1-the why to hotel was miserable u'll west ur time & effort to reach the hotel. 2-no activities near or around hotel it was boring. 3-some of ground floor rooms very small with no view and next to the reception, car parking wich makes it very noisy. 4-The hotel dose not earn this amount of mony.

Staff were friendly. Food was good. Room was comfortable.

Awful location - takes one hour on very bad road to reach it from Nuwara Eliya (10 Km) which makes it very remote and useless as a base to explore. Although the room was clean, the throws and cushions on the bed were filthy with stains all over them - they took them away but didn't clean or replace them. It is obvious the staff are under instruction to cut costs. Ie. Heated pool is unheated - need to give 6 hours notice to switch it on. Toilets in public areas don't have soap replaced so can only use water to wash. Very few facilities to pass the time - given how remote it is and that the road has been like this for 2 years there was no attempt to to provide anything (like hiking maps). There are 5-6 books in the "library", pool cues were broken, no darts for dart board which was hidden behind a wine fridge. Basically it is a property that charges 5 star prices but gives 2 star service.

nice breckfast and good staff only

1-I thud that its 5 stars hotel but when I reach there I ask the reception and they inform me that it’s not a 5 star hotel but it’s small apartment giving 5 stars serves. If I know that before booking I was never go there cause I pay money for 5 star hotel not for small apartment. 2- There is no activity
