Big spacious room, good breakfast, very friendly and helpful staff, good quiet location and only a short walk to the beautiful beach

I really do not have any complain!Hotel Alakamanda in Anuradhapura is: "THÉ place to be and STAY!" Very comfortable rooms, quiet environment, buddhist design, wonderfull cuisiene (Sri Lanka gastronomy), extremely nice garden, during the night iluminated, very kind and extremely helpfull Manager Mr. Viraj! Very, really very Professional and stilefull Gentleman! Spa and Swimming Pool will be ready in May! The Manager is organising amazing Safaritours to see Leopard in Wilpattu N.P. and very experienced guide tours in the oldest buddhist city and ancient centre of Sri Lanka, which is Anuradhapura! The Cook Mr. Sumede has international experience in Europe as well as in the Far East. Mr. Sujeewa is a very, very kind and helpfull Chef! Professional guide is Mr.M.D. Kithsri: tel.: 071-6421379. Good value for money. Excellent service and super nice very recently redone room. Very clean. Whole villa filled with atmosphere, nicely decorated. Almost no mosquitos - a rarity in the area.

My husband and I arrived at Maindi Villa after a 5 hour journey from Kandy. The room that was allocated to us was not shown on their website. It was adjacent to a kitchen. It had very large sliding French doors which were difficult to open and close. The curtains barely covered the window, which were old and dusty. The two single beds were pushed together. They had dirty stained sheets on them. A pink mosquito net surrounded the bed which was manky and dirty. The room was dimly lit with no furniture. The room had signs of mould and smelt of damp. I agree with the previous reviewer, although they had the better rooms upstairs. We were both extremely upset as we had paid over $200 for a 3 night stay and asked the hotelier earnestly if she could change our room, the answer was that she was fully booked and was unwilling to broker any deal.. After 3 days I was glad to be leaving and found a lovely hotel called Politia Guest House, spotlessly clean and only $35 dollars per night. The room we were given is probably used for staff off season. If we were paying $20 a night it would have been value for money. It really spoiled our stay at Uuatwatana as we spent most of the time trying to avoid going back to the room. I fully recommend Politha Guest house. The lady who described the breakfast did a perfect job.

Everything about the place was shabby and tired! Stained sheets,20 year old faded stained towels, dripping air con. Table clothes stained with grease and not changed for 3 days. Breakfast not up to scratch, everywhere else we stayed offered eggs, but here only warmed bread, red jam and tea in chipped cups and milk served in a cup. The place has real potential, but is let down at every stage, needs money spending on the essentials!

We liked everthing, the location, the condition of the room, the staff and manager, the proximity to the beautiful beach, the peaceful surroundings, the design of the hotel, the value for money and even being able to pay in $us as quoted on www.booking.com site. My wife and I would fully recommend this hotel to anyone.

The only thing about the hotel was that it was difficult to find initially and our driver had to stop many times to ask for directions. Maybe the hotel could put some more signs, like other hotels do, guiding guests and drivers to the hotel.

The a/c is not a good option, it wasn't making any much difference with the fan. Go for the fan option, rooms are fair for the price.

Die Lage abseits vom Trubel mit Sicht auf zahlreiche Kokospalmen. Zeitweiser Besuch durch eine Affenhorde. Das Personal ist bemüht. Das Frühstück mit Obst, Toast und Spiegelei ist ok. Das angeschlossene Restaurant am Strand hat gute Küche. Unverbauter Dschungl-Beach bietet klares Wasser.

Die Sauberkeit lässt zu wünschen übrig. Zimmer wird nur bei Aufforderung geputzt. Kreditkartenzahlung nur mit 3% Aufschlag möglich. Schwer zu finden, die Koordinaten stimmen nicht. Preis ist für das Gebotene zu hoch. Hauptstrand ist total zugebaut und das Wasser ist eher trüb.

Для тех кто любит отдых без пафоса- просто СУПЕР! Ну а для тех кому нужно 5*-отправляйтесь прямо на Мальдивы,там и денег не меренно оставите и найдете то к чему привыкли!

La struttura ha grande potenzialità purtroppo manca di manutenzione e interventi per renderla molto più accogliente.

È un po' trascurata la manutenzione generale e deve essere migliorata la colazione.

Personal oli väga sõbralik, suhtumine vastutulelik, sõbralik. Oma soovidest tasub kohe pererahvale rääkida, kõik on võimalik - ekskursioonide korraldamine, massaaz, jne.

Koht on raskesti leitav.

- La localisation a proximité de la plage d'unawatuna (même si nous l'avons trouvee particulièrement décevante comparées aux plages aux environs de bentota)

- La chambre : linge de lits sales, le soir les draps grouillaient de petits insectes, la fenêtre de la douche ne comportait pas de vitre mais un grillage troué avec vis a vis directement sur la douche pr les voisins, porte fenêtrés fermant très mal, le coffre fort a l'intérieur est... Portatif et donc non fixé !! - le petit déjeuner était médiocre : le seul hôtel ou nous avons séjourné qui sert du jus de fruit concentre et non du jus de fruit frais! Les toasts étaient durs comme la table et la confiture (dont le goût et les fruits n'ont pu être identifies) vraiment pas terribles Pr le prix (50e) la prestation n'est pas du tout a la hauteur Pour en avoir discute avec des clients insatisfaits egalement, la qualité des chambres est a priori très aléatoire (certaines sont très bien et d'autres moyennes voire vétustes) Attention aux conditions générales lors de la réservation : ils exigent 30% d'acompte au moment de la reservation et le règlement de la totalité du séjour a l'arrivée donc je déconseille de réserver plusieurs nuits car vous ne serez jamais remboursés (si vous avez déjà paye) si vous n'êtes pas satisfaits et serez donc pris en otage. Nous ne conseillons pas du tout cet hôtel aux pratiques commerciales très contestables au regard de la médiocrité de la prestation fournie Nous avions réserve pr 3 nuits et sommes partis après la première nuit dans un autre hôtel pratiquant le même prix pr une prestation bien supérieure. Heureusement que le terminal bancaire ne fonctionnait pas a notre arrivée car sinon ils ne nous auraient jamais remboursés. Pour preuve : alors que nous avions règles la première nuit et une moitié de la seconde en "dédommagement" facture a lappui, ils ont indiqué a booking que nous ne nous étions pas présentés a l'hôtel ....

Нам очень все понравилось! нам повезло с номером, брали фэмили рум 95$ сутки с питанием на четверых. номер неплохой, балкон - джунгли вью - бесподобен! большая площадь комнаты, что редкость, плюс договорились и по приезду - холодильник, сейф! в номере, посуда, плитка, чайник, кастрюльки... все это скрасило дефицит шкафов. завтраки - тосты с джемом, фреш и натуральный вкусный кофе. нам хватало и не надоело за 10 дней. НО есть большое НО. другим не так повезло. стандарт номера без кондея + солнечная сторона крохотных размеров, 30$. За эту сумму, думаю, можно и получше найти. Для номера на четверых нормальная цена. убирались хорошо. Один опрятный мальчик, много советов дал дельных. Номер отлично был убран после него, пару раз другой мальчик был - абы как убрался... от людей зависит) хозяева правда сговорчивые и приятные Можно торговаться на счёт тренера. Очень-очень довольны отдыхом, первый раз ездили самостоятельно и впервые все без малейших накладок. Отельчик рекомендую, но именно фамилии рам №18))

двухместные номера на солнечную сторону без кондея за 30 баков... не самое разумное соотношение цена-качество

нам очень понравился персонал отеля и администрация,расположение гостиницы,за всё время прибывания никаких неприятных ситуций не было!в отеле очень зелено и красиво,с водой проблем тоже не было,а\с тоже работает нормуль,также у отеля есть каффе прямо у океана,вообщем всё было отлично!привет менеджерам отеля!!!Валера и Яна!

Homely atmosphere, basic but very comfortable. The owners are very nice and have a restaurant at the beach where they make delicious seafood. The location is perfect, not directly at the beach which might be beneficial as in high season it can be quite noisy. Definitly recommendable if you are looking for a comfortable and affordable place to stay.

- zkažené mléko k čaji podanému na uvítanou - podprůměrná snídaně s příbory zabalenými ve špinavém ubrousku - neodtékající voda v koupelně při sprchování - plesnivé stěny v koupelně a WC - 5-6cm velcí švábi přímo v pokoji - smrdící mišina všude v prostorách "vily" i přímo v pokoji - jak jsme následně (na vlastní oči) zjistili , tato "mišina " = "krysina" - MANIDI VILLA "DE LUXE" JE TOTIŽ PLNÁ KRYS ! ! ! Po zjištění této skutečnosti jsme tuto "luxusní vilu" opouštěli o půlnoci a hledali nové ubytování... Peníze zpět nám samozřejme vráceny nebyly... Manidi Vila byla bezkonkurenčně nejhorším zážitkem naší dovolené na Sri Lance...

The employed lady was very nice. When we asked for a Sri Lankan breakfast as a change to the toast with a bad quality of jam, sometimes eggs and fruit alternate, (very simple) she was told by the manager it wasn´t included. She was so nice offered breakfast made by her self in her home. It was very nice and we were happy to pay her money, she didn't want to receive.

Very simple breakfast. We brought our own dark bread and own jam. The man who cleaned the room didn't mop the floor in our room for the nine nights we stayed. We also had a stop in the drainage in the tub and and everyday he said "tomorrow I will fix", but he didn'T. It was first after seven days they did something. Every time we went down to the reception the manager was occupied counting big bundles of money. He had a big new Toyota Hilux standing at the hotel and we understood that that employed didn't earned well enough or got well treated. He wasn't trustworthy according to us.
