Very relaxing place, sunny beach, shaded pool area, many showers out by the poolside so you can wash sand off right after coming from the beach. Excellent Sri Lankan and western food. Seafood like lobster and crab plentiful. Very close to beautiful diving and snorkeling spots. Yipsilon diving school is right on the premises for lessons.

    No spa on the premises.

The staff was very friendly and attentive in a positive way. The room was very clean and nice furnished, no one bug, ant or moskito in 5 days! A very nice place directly on a beautiful beach.

Even though spending a fortune while staying 4 nights, the WIFI was charged in addition. And on top, it is not working in the room but only at the reception area and in the restaurant. And also then, it was very hard to get a good connection. It's a shame! In comparison to other Hotels that charges much less (for .ex. 40 Euros/night) and give WIFI for free!

The garden setting and wildlife make for a very relaxing stay. Access to the beach is excellent. The staff were very helpful when making onward bookings. Very good food in both the main restaurant and pool-side bar.

The buffet was promoted as a highlight of the resort, however it was not offered on any of the 3 nights we stayed at Nilaveli.

staff were excellent - always helpful and patient. food was excellent.

I thought it was over priced compared with other places we stayed which were more elegant. I think there needs to be a grassed area around the main building - all the brown sand is a little depressing. the seating is all very hard - no cushions in foyer or under the verandah and in restaurants all chairs are hard. the worst service in the hotel was the "towel man" at the pool. He was rude, almost refusing to give you a towel and doesn't deserve the job. I thought there should be more activities for children - maybe ping pong, swings etc in a far corner where they wouldn't disturb the other guests but could have fun.
