Peaceful, clean, well-furnished rooms. Lovely view out onto Ella's Rock and Ella's Gap. The ground floor rooms don't have floor to ceiling windows, so keep this in mind if you're booking. Staff was completely lovely and helpful though, breakfast was tasty.

Not quite the value for money of other places, though you won't be disappointed by any stretch.

The owner would not suggest a place for our driver to stay and as the driver did not know Ella so well this meant he had a long search to fine anywhere. There seems to be a problem between the owner and drivers as the owner warned us about drivers taking business away from him. This was not the case with out driver - he rang ahead to check our accommodation was ready and to find out where it was located.

The owner, Jit, when out of his way to insure our stay was amazing and offered excellent suggestions on what to do while in Ella. The rooms were basic but very clean. They are building three new rooms and Upgrading the existing rooms soon, so the place will son be even better! The food was amazing. Probably the best dinner we had in Sri Lanka. I would definitely stay here again.

Location with spectacular views from the room and the terrace where the meals were served. Fantastic food. Friendly helpful staff with an owner who couldn't have been more helpful during a medical emergency. Excellent lighting in the room which was very unusual for Sri Lanka.

The view from the window was amazing. The room was spacious and clean and the staff very kind.

The owner's self confidence didn't suit us, we felt possessed by his talking... The biggest minus was that we had no hot water after 2 min of shower. The water did't heat up until morning... $100 for the room without ac and 2 min of hot shower. Too expensive for what it was...

Fabulous Ella Rock view, excellent Sri Lankan and Thai food, no pizza and spaghetti, what is very important because most of Ella restaurant are pizza, spaghetti, toasts and beef steak oriented. Enough comfort, very small and almost family atmosphere

Lack of coffee tables outside, but the place for kind of cafeteria/ tables is almost prepared. Will be one of the best Ella Rock view points in Ella.

We liked the location, just on edge of Ella, the food was excellent, there was no choice but was delicious

Would have been good to have tea/coffee facilities in room...small thing but if you wake very early it is good to be able to make yourself a cuppa.

That I had to leave after 3 days, I would have liked to stay longer!

The hotel is beautiful - excellent location and fabulous views. The food is expensive but very good (and plenty of it!). You will be comfortable here - rooms are tastefully furnished, reasonably spacious and, contrary to what is written on here, not noisy. The staff are attentitive and well meaning.

This hotel is not for those on a budget. By any standards - and particularly Sri Lankan - it is expensive for what it offers - perhaps 25% too high. I would also add that it is somewhat of an 'intense' experience staying here. The well meaning owner likes a good chat (of the talking variety), and we were occasionally offended by some of the comments made. In particular is the underlying feeling that you are made to feel you are almost intruding on his home and not living up to his expectations.

Wer offen ist, kommt rasch ins Gespräch und erfährt tolle Geschichten und Geheimtipps. Wir sind bereits 8 Wochen in Sri Lanka unterwegs und dies war die angenehmste Unterkunft.

L'hotel nella sua semplicità è comunque di standard elevato; le camere sono confortevoli ed hanno una vista panoramica di eccezione. La colazione nella veranda che si affaccia sul giardino è molto piacevole. Abbiamo sperimentato anche la cucina (thailandese) e siamo rimasti soddisfatti.

Excellent local food wth breakfast in the balcony overlooking Ella GAp and the most amazing scenery. The owner was more like a host enjoying time with friends and welcoming them into his home

No real downsides. Probably a bit overpriced but the view and hospitality were priceless!

I'm greatful for the hotel manager who gave me the helpful travel advice .And the food is the best I ever have in Siri lanka.

Very friendly and attentive staff, relaxed atmosphere, perfect location for Ella, three rooms with a view, good food, nice to stay for more than one night.

Difficult to book directly via e-mail, long and tiresome mails for 10 days. Owner very avaricious, 90 us Dollar for B&B plus 15 us Dollar for dinner is far too expensive. The food was nice and tasty, nevertheless we had the same quality in quite a lot of places in Sri Lanka, but paid only half the price. Owner assumes a rather negative attitude towards all drivers which is not always fair.

We loved the view from Ravana Heights of Ella Rock and through Ella Gap. The evening meal was restaurant quality.

The location is beautiful. The rooms have lovely big windows to help you take in the wonderful view. The rooms are nicely decorated a very clean and comfortable. We didn't stay for dinner but the breakfast was delicious.

The majority of the staff were absolutely lovely but the owner (as mentioned in other guests reviews) was terrible. The moment we arrived he started telling us that he wished he'd done something else with his life. He was offensive and obtrusive and really took away from what would have otherwise been a very pleasant stay.
