Hotel Sigiriya  

That the hotel was being closed for renovations & we had to be transferred for the last night of our stay. We were not advised of this until we arrived there.

The view of the rock from the pool is absolutely breath taking. The staff and the level of service they provide is outstanding. And the cocktails were the best I had in Sri Lanka and are reasonably priced.

The food was good but maybe not as great as we expected considering the beauty of the place, the high quality service and tasty cocktails.

The hotel facility is more than 3star only. Not compared to srilanka only. Rooms great service excelent, pool with pool towel etc etc i would say 4+ star

Great location. We walked to the Sigiriya site. Also has an amazing view from the pool area! Breakfast was good. Dinner was ok/good. Staff were attentive. Relaxing, quality vibe.

Staff on reception were a little unhelpful when we tried to arrange alternative travel arrangements rather than using their recommendation which was astronomically expensive compared to what we ended up paying.

Hotel in a beautiful setting close to main attractions in Sigiriya. Nice cosy style and very good food (buffet)

Rooms a bit run down.

The hotel ambiance was superb, perfect place to relax, nice pool nice view of the sigriya rock, room service twice everyday they come and ask if you want to freshen up your room/ bathroom in the evening which I really appreciate... Spa is nice but expensive

Very far away from the main road, no certified halal food in the restaurant , overly priced food which was just okay not much choice for vegetarians, breakfast was fair

beautiful setting and nicely decorated. Staff was very kind and helpful. Buffet was good.

My room was not very clean, smelled musty and damp even after trying to refresh it. It coould have done with a bit of maintenance work and was in need of freshen up.. Could not sleep the first night because of smell of mould that was burning my chest. Very poor value for money.

its quiet and comfortable, and there is a great view of sigiriya from the yard of the hotel. Staff are friendly, they don't provide toothbrush, but the frond desk mamaged to get one for me.

its a little dark at night, not enough lights on the aisle.

Superb setting. Excellent attentive staff but not too intrusive. Food was excellent and tasty.

Excellent staff, and the food was great. Nice pool and bar. The view at Sigirya Rock was fantastic. We stayed there for 2 nights and that was enough, you climb/walk up the rock and then there is not much else to do. But if you are looking for a comfortable start or end on your journey this place is great.

There are hardly any other places you can go beside the hotel or Sigirya Rock. But it's like that everywhere near Sigiriya.

A lovely and relaxing hotel. Very clean, comfortable rooms. Excellent pool. Friendly and helpful staff. The food was particularly good with excellent desserts. we would certainly return and recommend. Ideal for Sigiriya

Room smelled damp. Reception smelt of wet dog. Water dripping through light fitting. Bathrooms generally need updating.

Very nice view and location. Perfect place to visit Lion rock and Dambulla. Beatiful territory and design.

We didnt like food served in this hotel, everything we ordered was fair but not good. When it was raining heavy the roof in our room was leaking.

The location was superb, with a dazzling view of the rock, the gardens were full of wildlife and the pool and hotel design sat with the ambience of this area in Sri Lanka.

Unfortunately the cleanliness of the rooms was a little disappointing, they really could do with a refresh, the beds were very hard and the fan and air-con pretty noisy - I personally think for the money you pay for this hotel the standard of finish and the details could have been better.

Good facility, near to Sigiriya. SPA is relaxing.
