The ambience of the hotel is stunning. It's a gorgeous facility and the rooms were clean and perfect. Air con worked well and the pool was maintained well.
The internet really didn't work well all week for us, which was unfortunate. We had specifically chosen this place due to internet in all areas of the hotel, but we were without it in most places.
All is excellent in this hotel if we have notice early the morning and in the beginning of the night ( music for example) ,but it s a really good resort.
Very hospitable but over staffed
More like a home stay rather than a hotel
everything! we love it~~~the nice room, perfect food~~the lobster is fantastic and very cheap!
Thambapanni has an excellent ayurvedic therapist. Ranjan is very knowledgeable, skilled and pleasant.
Nice swimming pool, but the pool area is too small when the hotel is fully booked.
Everything was absolutely perfect accept for the wifi, we didn't have a good signal in the room
r the wifi, we didn't have a good signal in the room
Beautiful surroundings, nature literally on your doorstep. Very tranquil & pretty hotel with a nice pool. Good location - a short walk into town & far enough away not to be too noisy. Good massage.
Staff (particularly reception staff) unfriendly & unhelpful. Tried to rip us off for booking a driver to Tissa & tried to charge over twice the going rate. Breakfasts very poor. Ask for a room overlooking the pool - our room (room 2) was a bit dark & damp.
very good breakfast Very helpful staff swimming pool quiet
far from main road
The hotel itself is very nicely designed, the staff du just perfect, the room was spacious and perfectly cleaned. The manager was very welcoming. So we had à very pleasant stay.
Beautiful setting. Nice staff. Close to beach. Nice pool. Manager.
Loved staying here, its peaceful and quiet but so close to the beach. Upgraded to a Deluxe room which was lovely.
Quite a few mosquitoes but cant be helped!
We had room nr 3 with a wonderfull big balcony with the real feeling of the jungle.Lots of birds and monkies.
Small hotel, not that many rooms so it is not over crowded. Few minutes walk to the beach and eateries Staff were extremely helpful and friendly.
clean, newly renovated, yoga, spa, good restaurant, pool, location
the staff is quit annoying, espcecially in the restaurant, they are with so many that they are all continiously asking you if you are ready, wanna pay, its overwelming and too much and very oncoordinated. there is no system, everybody is doing all the table and made us very unconfortable. They mean it well but its too much, if i have my food, jut leave me alone for at least 10 min.
Good service, nice facilities, you can have yoga and massage at very cheap prices
In a very crowded area
Staff were friendly and overall very good. The hotel location is excellent if you are visiting the area. Galle is a ten minute Tuk tuk away and the fare is around £3. It is a comfortable place to stay for a short time.
The room was quite dark as it did not have a proper window. Our ground floor room was next to the office so from an early time you could hear noises and conversations from the staff. The swimming pool is small with few beds and is constantly shaded so if you want the sun, go to the beach. The water temperature was tepid at best. If you wanted to fill the bath tub you would get a cold bath and it would take an eternity to fill anyway due to the water pressure being low. Finally, the wifi reception was poor to non existent. Remember, like all hotels in this region the final bill will be up to 25% more expensive than quote due to taxes and service charges. The hotel shuts down early! One night we were locked out of the main gate at 11.00 pm....the security had to let us in.
The hotel is set back away from the hustle and noise of the beach yet is barely 5 minutes walk away. It is a calm oasis where the staff are excellent and the restaurant the same, serving really good curries with lots of flavour without too much heat! The room was a bit of a climb up 119 steps , but once there you are in your own space, with only the monkeys for company. I would highly recommend this hotel.
Beautiful comfy room with nice views Really nice pool area Very friendly staff Very professional massage service Great value for money
The room wasn't 100% clean even though we had to wait until 6pm to get in
This place is in a great location, Friendly Staff and excellent rooms.
The staff were friendly and welcoming. All the facilities were excellent and the pool was both a calming body of water and a swimming pool. Free wifi all over facility was a bonus. Breakfast menu limited but a lovely eating venue. I would like to spend more time there!
A bit hard to locate.
The staffs are excellent!
The wifi connection could be better.
The biggest advantage of this hotel is its nice ambience. Breakfast are delicious, though very slow service of the restaurant staff.
Even though rooms are equipped with mosquito nets, you won't avoid lot of small insect in your room (ants, mosquitos..even geckos) that comes through the holes in the windows, etc. If you want good comfort for your money, better spend your vacation in other hotel...
To agressive sales atitude reagarding the own restaurant
Useless wifi Poor communication Management attitude
