The Oasis Villa  

Good location close to beach and other restaurants, friendly staff.

We could hear the noise from the road notwithstanding that this was the only comment I added when booking the room. I believe that there are other rooms on lower floors closer to the pool where there is less roadnoise.

Price, quality, cleanliness and efficient staff. Pool was immaculate and straight across the road is the beach and main surfing point.

Situated in a quiet grove across the road from the beach, this truly is an oasis. We got a deluxe room with a huge balcony at coconut level and enjoyed the birds during afternoon rain showers. Staff and breakfasts are awesome. Their arranged trips and tuk-tuk drivers made this a relaxing and fun trip. Don't miss the 'local sites' tour, including lagoon boat ride, and longest reclining Buddha in Asia!

It's a tropical climate, so there are a few bugs. We kept food in fridge provided to avoid ants and no-se-ums.

Very nice tidy house with super friendly staff. Everything is good, breakfast is nice with fresh fruits, rooms are clean with a/c and shower with hot water, the beach is 2 minutes to walk, the swimming pool is perfect.

May be the noise of railway station and the road, but not critical for sleeping and having a rest there

Very good location with a pool. In Hikkaduwa you either have noise from the road or the railway or the crashing waves. Oasis Villa was only affected by the railway which wasn't a problem. Short walk to the sea. Friendly relaxed staff and good breakfasts.

Somewhat difficult to find amongst all the other accommodation on the strip.

The Oasis Villa is a nice hotel just across the road from the beautiful beach. It's close to communications, and you can catch the bus to villages near by. The breakfast is served by nice staff and consists of tea or coffee, egg, toast and a plate of fresh fruit. The hotel has a nice pool. The owner of the hotel, (Kingsley), is doing everything to make you feel welcome, and always helps you out if there is anything you need. I would recommend this place, and if I come back I will be happy to stay here

After travelling around for 1 month an excellent place to stay, comfortable and on the luxurious side of budget, a lot better than some of the more expensive places in Sri Lanka, would definately recommend and stay again, good breakfast and a real home from home, new pool is a real plus, in the middle of everything but set back so its really quiet, a real oasis in Hikkaduwa. Brilliant staff and owner.

I really liked the place

Very near to the beach but set far enough back to not hear traffic noise. A/c, balcony, double bed and fridge...what more do you need?! Basically furnished but perfect for our needs. Pool was nice too. Will be back.

Really nice, private and familiar, feeling. By no means a luxury place, but it has everything that we needed including good breakfast, nice staff and a fantastic pool. Location is only steps away from great beach side restaurants and bars.

The trash bin in our room wasn't emptied when we checked in. The beds were also not the most comfortable I have slept in, but otherwise nothing to complain about.

The best thing was very friendly stuff. They were always helpful, kindly and fast. The rooms are big and climate. The pool was directly in front of our room, nice and clean. Breakfast was good: omelett and fresh fruits. For that price a really good choice. We would come again! Thank you

At the Oasis Villa you will get super clean charming rooms with four poster beds, attentive vivacious staff and a gleaming pool for when you want to escape the surf. Kingsley and his staff go out of their way to make everything super easy and fun. The owner knows everyone in town so he gives great advice on where to go for yoga, where the best surf breaks can be found and where to sample local delicacies.This place is a sure fire hit with single travellers, couples and families alike.

Excellent hotel, the best in this area. Rooms are nice and clean, staff is very helpful, close to the ocean. This guest house has swimming pool and a/c.

Very nice and cosy house, simple and tidy. It goes perfectly with Sri Lanka! The staff is great, breakfast is good (best papaya ever). The beach is across the road, about 10min walk to the Blue Moon bar, the best one, with reggae music and nice food/drinks. All in all very peaceful, There is a swimming pool that is under construction, and will be awesome when they finish!

The most pleasant place of all he had seen in Sri Lanka. Fully compliant with the price. Staff young and very friendly, rooms are large. Close to the sea, while across the road. The beach really 5 minutes. Too bad that there was no dinner. But the breakfast is decent. Very comfortable and cheap.
