It would have been amazingly perfect if we had had a/c. We stayed 5 nights and were too hot 3 of them

i loved the original building been restored and maintaining many of the original features it added character, the villa and the grounds were unbelievable and the pictures do not do it justice, the rooms were clean and stylishly decorated. As for the staff i cannot tell you they made our holiday so perfect, we literally never had to do anything, so friendly and helpful, we felt right at home, nothing was too much trouble from arranging a driver, laundry, cooking for us and even providing a local remedy for sunburn, i will definitely be returning here, as soon as possible, absolutley loved it, malinga and the rest of the staff were absolutely fantastic, thanks guys for the giving our group the best time of our lives!!!

Ambiente straordinario, la gestione da parte dello staff è meravigliosa, ti curano in ogni minimo dettaglio, le lenzuola vengono ogni singolo giorno di permanenza, l'ambiente è pulito, la piscina vicino al lago di Koggala è molto rilassante, la sera le luci, gli animali domestici e non, conigli, galline, uccelli e scimmie ti girano intorno creando un emozione unica nel soggiorno.. Massaggi di 1 h30' / 2h straordinari, a basso costo, meno di venti euro.

Non ha l'aria condizionata.

Tout. le personnel, la villa, le jardin, les animaux, l'atmosphère et l'excellente cuisine Sri Lankaise.

Prachtige oud-hollandse villa gelegen in een mooie tuin vol kokospalmen en frangipanibomen recht aan het meer van Koggala. Rust verzekerd in dit intiem hotel want er zijn slechts vier kamers beschikbaar. Zeer vriendelijk personeel dat je op je wenken bedient. Locatie is vlakbij stranden maar niet echt gelegen in een levendig plaatsje. Met de bus/taxi/tuktuk zijn Mirissa, Unawatana en Galle allen binnen 20 minuten te bereiken. Eten is aan de prijzige kant naar Sri Lankese normen, maar goedkoop naar europese. Bovendien is het lekker en geserveerd in een zeer mooie setting. Dichtbij in zelfde prijsklasse ligt The Fortress waar je erg lekker kan gaan eten - ook Sri Lankees. Kortom een aanrader voor een ontspannen moment in je reis met toch dichtbij halve dag uitstappen.

We stayed 5 days in this villa hotel and we were pleased, it's one of the best place I've visited in s Sri Lanka not far from the beach and Galle the city is so beautiful. The staff was very helpful and kind. It was a relaxing, clean and beautiful hotel. I highly recommend it.

This is a wonderful place to stay for a few days - very peaceful historical villa,wonderful food and the most attentive staff who would appear the moment you needed something and vanish when not required. Good base for the South Coast/Galle

Lake position

The most miserable boutique hotel, we have ever been!!!!! Brown mattresses with holes inside, more like jail beds. Far away from anything, so you consider eating in the hotel as there is nothing close for lousy 25$ per person! We asked our driver to bring us to the best restaurtant on the sea side, away from this lousy hotel. Straight in front of the beach, great seafood and fruits and mixed juice drink, about 10 miles away for just 3 $, not spaghetti milanese for 25 $ in this dirty, small and smelly hostel. It looks more like the home of somebody in the middle of nothing, crossing the railway tracks. Empty hotel, there was just a young couple. Apparently the owners finance their mansion with the few people getting lost there. It is maximum a horrible backpackers hostel in a villa. No glass windows, just open windows, unprotected from insects!!! A malaria danger and the humidity ... mould smell, we couldn´t sleep at all !!!! Mould on the walls. Health dangerous. Be aware. We were shocked and for a price of over 100 $ plus extra 5 % if you pay by card and can´t even slep from the smell. A bad joke, a shock, a consumer protection visit worth, if there were one. This hostel should be taken off radar as it is health harming!!!! Be aware It is more a villa to visit on the way, have a coffee break and get away, if it would be on a normal road. Be aware of other positive reviews as this is the fully truth and all rooms were small, humid and smelly like ours, We couldn´t believe how a such bad bed lodge could have got good positive reviews and looked around to understand. It can´t be. Especialy as the is not recent, it is old, the brown mattress with yellow stains and holes, unprotected and covered with a thin, nearly transparent sheet, and the mould on the walls, etc.
