Whitepearl Beach  

Staff were very attentive to our needs. Very kind and friendly towards guests and always wanting to ensure that our stay was comfortable. Food was great as well and location was fantastic!! I would highly recommend to future travellers.

The position was fabulous. Right on the beach and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We asked for Ananda to get us fish and sea food and we had two amazing meals of jumbo prawns crab and para fish . He organised cabs for us to Galle and the airport and kindly took us to The Foundation of Goodness post tsunami orphanage where our son was playing cricket . Would love to return one day.

Balcony with sight and sound of the ocean. Manager Alunnda kindly gave us a lift to our next hotel in Bentota. Hikkaduwa a really nice place and could have spent more ti me there, rather than bentota, which is a bit naff Do visit the tsunami museum

Probably a bit too far out of Hikkaduwa, but tuktuks are of course everywhere so not really a problem

The hotel is nice and the location is great. There is a beautiful and quiet beach right there. The restaurant has decent food and the staff was very nice.

It is a very quiet location. Great for relaxing on the beach. But if you're looking for more to do, it might not be the place for you. Also the bathroom was smelly, which made it difficult for me to sleep. But I found that to be a common problem in Sri Lanka.

A truly great hotel with amazing people. We could not wish for a better seaside hotel. Location is fantastic (a bit away from a touristy hikkaduwa). Lots of amazing restaurants around. Great service! What a great place to chill out from travelling.

Very clean room, relaxed atmosphere, helpful and friendly staff, beautiful beach.

The room was basic but at the price we paid it was what we expected. The balcony was where we spent most of our time when in the hotel as the view of the waves crashing in was very nice, it was a good place to relax and read. The service was good and we were able to get hot water for coffee making in our room as we had taken our own and my wife prefers this, just a pity that there was not a kettle in the room. Breakfast was as expected and it was a pleasant way to start the day out in the restaurant on the beach. The a/c was quiet and we had plenty of hotwater for showers. It is in a good position for local trips all done in tuk tuks and we had good days going out to Galle and then further north where there is still much evidence of the tsunami damage and a very basic museum which is a must visit place albeit very very sad.

It wasn't quite as close to Hikkuduwa Beach as I thought so if that is where you want to be then there are many places nearer. We found rides in tuk tuks easy and very cheap so it wasn't a problem. The main road is noisey but that is the same from Colombo to Galle but you must take care as the bus drivers can be best described as mad.

If you are looking for a calm, relaxing and affordable place to stay, don't hesitate to come here! Situated right on the (clean) beach, the place is very tidy, food is very nice and staff are very friendly, as well as the owner, Ananda. I would not hesitate to book Whitepearl again, as a matter of fact already looking forward to it! Thanks again Ananda, and a special thanks to Razik Mohammed (the best "breakfast waiter" in sl) and to Kamal (the best tuktuk driver in sl!)

Whitepearl's deluxe double standard rooms opened onto balconies that overlooked the ocean. The staff were extremely friendly and acomodating. They arranged our airport transport which we reliable and efficient. It felt like a family environment because we got to know the hotel staff. There was free wifi the whole time. Air conditioning worked well. We were actually there when there was a tsunami warning and the hotel staff opened up their home to us, on the top of a hill and made sure we were as safe as a we could be, feed us and gave us the experience in a Sri Lankan family home.

The electricity would go out periodically due to storms, but always fixed quickly. The first night our water didn't work, but the rest of the week it worked well. The toilet did not flush all week, except the first day, we worked with that, filling up buckets and pouring them down the toilet to get it to flush. But for all the other amazing things about the hotel, we really loved our experience!

Amazing staff. They took care of us during a tsunami scare as if we were their own family, going as far as letting us stay at a family members' home and feeding us. Any problem was addressed immediately and it was the first time I felt I became friends with a hotel staff. Great location just a $1 tuk tuk ride away from crowded hikkaduwa with a clean, quiet beach. Very good food and cheap too!

Very relaxed atmosphere and really helpful staff. Our room was clean and comfortable and the service excellent. Food was very acceptable, with a fine breakfast and adequate evening menu. The beach setting is beautiful and the whole place is compact, laid back and friendly. It is also possible to go 'off menu' for both food and drink - just ask! The manager reminded a bit of a Sri Lankan Dylan Moran - in a good way.

The only thing which would improve the place is if there was ac in the downstairs rooms rather than just a fan.

Die Lage am Strand. Man kann dort essen und trinken. Das Essen ist gut.

Der Sanitärbereich, sehr einfach, nicht besonders sauber. Toilette defekt. Konnte aber durch uns repariert werden. Das Zimmer war dunkel und stickig, der Ventilator sehr laut. Ohne ging e s aber nicht, so dass an ungestõrten Schlaf nicht zu denken war.

老板人非常好，因为行程关系，第一天没有住，但是也免了我们的住宿费，赞一个！整个酒店非常干净。

Далеко до основного пляжа Хиккадува.
