Terrible time. No wild animals as expected. Roads are all around the jungle which is pretty disturbing to the wild life. After all it is supposed to be a protected zone for wild life. Jeeps are crawling every corner of the territory. Amused to see all of that disturbing scenes in a wild life protected zone. It's like business zone. Poor animals.

I loved Yala.
I loved Yala. The number of different animals seen was slightly disappointing but apparently wash outs due to rain prevented us from accessing some internal roads. The sunrise and scenery were stunning. I would rate it as good value despite the lack of animals. The whole experience was wonderful.

The national park in Yala is beautiful however it is hard to drive around as the roads are poorly maintained. There is a large populatin of birds and i think this safari would suit bird watchers more than those who want to see the elephants. The 6am -6pm safari is too long.
Sigiriya is far superior when it comes to large herds of elephants.

The hike in the nature reserve was amazing, we saw lots of amazing animals and landscapes.
Were lucky and we were able to meet the tiger as well.
It is important to note that the trip should take drinks and food, the hotel staff where we were did not tell us the length of the trip and did not make sure to let us know that we should take care of ourselves.
Of course we were smarter and brought with us the necessary equipment ..
But there were those next to us who did not and that was unfortunate

We stayed at Laya Beach resort which was very beautiful and was very close to our safari's which made our stay even better.
The beach, however, was too rough to swim which was a little disappointing.

Because of Coronavirus measures the national park was closed. However, with a guide, it was possible to see many species of animals from the public roads.
Not all drivers on these roads had respect for the animals, which was upsetting.

I am a visitor from Australia .Stayed at this amazing property for two nights in a spacious luxury suite with a Jacuzzi. Unforgettable tour to the nearby Yala National park organized by the Allure management.
Allure is a place to visit in my next tour to this beautiful country.
A very special thank and appreciation for the excellent customer service extended by the hotel staff.
"I love the little village kitchen / restaurant (Gami Gedera). Overall the food is top of this world.

Wild Culture Yala was a very warm, welcoming hotel with a great restaurant, pool and friendly staff. The room was big and comfortable, with air con, great shower and was very clean.
WiFi connection was good.
Restaurant was delicious, the packed lunch for safari was fine and plentiful.
Really nice pool, pool bar, archery, croquet, air rifles
The hotel also organised us a safari, which was 30 mins drive from the hotel to gate 1.
Suresh was a great host and very attentive.
This lovely lodge was like your own little house. It was near to the owners house so you felt safe but had a lovely rustic feel with lots of nature surrounding you. Very clean and good size bed. Air conditioning was great. Family and owner were extremely friendly and welcoming. They cooked amazing authentic food. The bbq under the stars was a fabulous touch. Great proximity to Yala National park for a safari. The lodge arranged everything.
Fantastic location, close to long stretch of empty beach. The host Hansa is super friendly and makes amazing Sri Lankan breakfast and dinner. The room was simple, but perfectly comfortable, with quiet and effective air con. Access is down a very bumpy unmade road, but iur driver had contacted the hotel in advance and arranged to meet Hansa on the main road and he picked us up. The safari organised by the hotel was very good.
This is clearly paradise. The Villa itself is beautifully designed and is simply first class. Spotless. I love that the bathroom ceiling was the sky and hosted bird nests and we had trees in the house. The staff was beyond friendly, accommodating and fun. Make sure that you participate in the mini safari. The food was exceptional. They arranged our Safari for us to Yala and it was reasonably priced.
The tents were super comfortable and clean. The atmosphere was so nice, pitch dark at night with fireflies all around. There are peacocks, all kinds of birds, cows, dogs in the hotel perimeter, kids enjoyed a lot. Dinner (bbq) and breakfast was good and filling. It is approx 25 min away from Yala National park entrance, so it is convenient.
Lovely family run buisness! Super friendly/ helpful host and amazing food!
The whole place is alive with birds, absolutely recommended. It's situated very close to yala national park and jeep tours can be arranged. Go and stay there, if you are not afraid of the odd frog in the bathroom or gecko at the wall.
Also two v cute dogs!
the behavior of it’s staff wasn’t good although the manager of hotel apologized to me but I didn’t like it and also there isn’t any slippers in the room and there was a lizard in the room and when I called to reception and said about it and requested to help, nobody didn’t do anything.
Very smart and spacious hotel. The room was fantastic, everything very clean and in good taste. The staff are extremely professional and friendly at the same time. Abishek at reception runs the whole place very smoothly and speaks very good English. They have a wonderful cook.
This was the perfect location for our trip to the Yala reserve. I have recorded our impressions under separate cover as I feel this format does not allow us to do justice to the venue. I’m hoping you will be able to access the account by visiting the lodge online.
The rooms were very clean, spacious and cooling. The hotel staff were so so friendly from the moment we set foot. There were animals around to spot and that was a delight for us. Great place to stay in while visiting Yala National Park
The pool and the atmosphere of living right in the middle of the jungle. Elephants pass by the pool side . The hotel is very comfortable and very relaxing. The staff is super friendly . The hotel is very close to the safari.
The venue is really close to a beautiful, wild beach, close to Yala and much nature. Very much recommend, and unlike a lot of venues we stayed at in Sri Lanka, the shower and bathroom was fantastic. Definitely recommend!!
All food served was excellent. Great location to explore Yala. The staff could not have been more helpful. Great service of burning something like incense in your room in the evening to rid it of any bugs!
I booked this hotel for our UK client who visited Sri Lanka. They enjoyed their time at Laya Hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. Asya Tours Kalutara will recommend this hotel for further travellers
Unique experience in close proximity to Ayala national park. Glamping at its best. Incredible staff effort to bring luxury to a tranquil setting in a true wildlife surrounding.
Really lovely hotel with a great outdoor pool. Rooms spacious & very comfortable. Great breakfast. Very friendly staff. A short distance to Yala national park.
