Score from 1020 reviews Excellent
Excellent location in the centre and very convenient for sightseeing. Good breakfast. The room was not quite what we were expecting as the description suggested that it was overlooking the atrium. Whilst that was hypothetically true it was actually looking out over the hotel roof. However, the sunshine coming into the room was a bonus!
The staff on reception seemed a bit 'frosty', and a man patrolling the reception area made us feel rather unwelcome.
Best position in the shopping and walking area and the very ventre. Spacious lobby, historical building, very big bed, good breakfast, own parking.
Location and the hotel itself were amazing
Happy with everything
The hotel is tastefully decorated, and the rooms are spacious. The first night we spent in the ECONOMIC room at the ground floor near the reception desk, and the next three nights in a DELUXE room on the first floor. In ECONOMIC room (No. 101) windows face the atrium and reception, which lacked a bit of intimacy and all the time we had the curtains closed and the lights turned on. For a longer stay I wouldn't recommend this room. DELUXE room which we had (No. 202) is huge and spacious (60 m2). The room is quiet, and very bright. The windows faced two sides, back yard and the roofs of the surrounding buildings. The room has a big bathroom, large bed and two comfortable armchairs. I recommend it. NOTE! The hotel has no elevator, climbing to the second floor on the steep stairs may be a problem for older people, ask for rooms on the ground or first floor.
The only downside is the lack of a kettle and tea in the rooms. Even in Delux room, you cann't make yourself a tea, you have to order it in a restaurant. In the rooms are just a fridges with cold drinks.
Eveything, location, confort, wifi, breackfast, etc.
- Location is perfect - Wi fi is very fast -Breakfast is not bad
- The bottled water in the room is extremely expansive
Comfortable location - right in the downtown. good restaurants are close. All main places are in few minutes walk from hotel. Rooms are clean. Restaurant in the basement offers good meat.
Price level is at least 35-45% higher than it should be. Hotel is very old but clean. Breakfast is quite poor in the hotel. If you are looking for a nice coffee taste and various amount of sliced cheese and ham this is not the place to find it.
Wifi quality is not good. temperature in room ca 15 C . If I guest in receptsion hier temperatur, tells me we sorry but we cant nothing make beter. If need go shower, must be wait ca 15 min, going hot water
The location, helpful staff (when I wanted to change my room (room 100). Good breakfast
Room 100 was right in the middle of the building on the ground floor. It was very spacious and modern - great! The only problem was that there were no windows, so it felt like being in a prison. Upon request I got a new room (103) - not quite as modern, but quite alright
From the title - you can guess. A great location within an easy walk of any area of the historic center.
No elevator and our room was on the third level.
love the size of the room, walk- in closet, friendly staff, perfect location!!!
parking little bit expensive
Location, size of the rooms, value for money.
That it's an old building with a lot of character
Wifi very slow
Great location ,very clean with big room ,
Room 102 Can't move on bed without sqeating seen on other reviews unlucky to get that room
Excellent location; parking available; very decent rooms;
This time I got a great suit for fair price so it was good but regular single room that I was in last time was very modest
Breakfast should be better
I booked this room last minute and was totally satisfied with the stay here. The location could not be more ideal right in the center of town. Room was nice and really quiet. The only problem was the TV it was extremely small and channels were very limited. But it wasn't essential. Overall I really liked it and would stay there again.
When I arrived at the hotel, I was brought to room 100. I was surprised that one wall of the room was made of frosted glass and that the lock of the door was at the floor level. The big surprise was that the room had no windows! Since I was going to stay for several days, I asked to have a room with a window. They gave me room 106. This room actually had a window (this is strange, isn't it?!) but there were some minor things missing. One was a light near the bed. Yes, would you imagine you need to ask if there is a light on the night table or a switch for the main light of the room near the bed when booking a room? There was also no wifi in that room (although I paid for that). I complained the first, the second and the third day, then I understood that when Booking says there is wifi (in Lithuania wifi is available everywhere), this may mean wifi is just the hall, even if they say that it is in the rooms. Another thing very strange was the presence of a black trash bag near the door of my room (actually a different one every day). Then I realized that the maids are dragging those bags when cleaning the rooms, and they preferred to leave one or two near my door. A comment on the breakfast room: this is downstairs, in what looks like a low-ceilinged cellar with no windows. A final remark on Booking: if you put photos of rooms to describe what you are booking, then what you get should be one of those. Unfortunately this is not the case at this hotel. So, if you are ready to fight with the hotel receptionists to get for what you paid, than this is the place for you.
Location in Old Town Quite hotel Price Wi-Fi
No lift Staff not friendly The coffee machine - very slow No gym
Location is good, but getting to the parking area is difficult as you have to travel via a pedestrian zone. Breakfast was adequate.
The room was very small for the amount paid - especially when compared to the room size in other four star hotels we stayed in in Lithuania. It was much smaller and les well furnished than a room in a 2 star hotel in Kaunas. There is no lift as it is an old building so you may have to carry luggage up to the third floor. Parking is 10 euros and only in an open courtyard. Elsewhere we had secure undercover parking fro 2 euros per night. The shower sprayed water all over the bathroom floor.
Excellent location, absolutly luxury hotel worth 5 stars.
In room we have not a natural window to open for fresh air!
Location and beauty
The staff were great! I was in need of some specific arrangements and they definitely went the extra mile to help me.
I thought the decor was really outdated, it just didn't match the price.
location, breakfast, restaurant, lobby
small pocket room, instead of king size bed was 2 singles, instead of baby bed they gave paper dirty babyhall, no sign of higiene and cleaning, bath area has molds, rooms outdated, a lot of cobwebs, TV is extra small from 90's. Rooms is far from 4*. No reaction on complaint. There is number of better and cleaner hotels nearby, not recommended.
