Daugirdas Old City Hotel

Hotel nuevo, de diseño. Muy bonito, cómodo, con desayuno incluído. En pleno centro del casco antiguo de Kaunas. Todo muy bien.

El ambiente de los alrededores, por la noche, es más bien regular. Durante el día, todo cambia, se convierte en un sitio muy agradable.

no hay ni sauna ni spa. Es un gran defecto considerando que es un hotel de 4 estrellas.

The Daugirdas is located in the old town just one block from City Hall. It is quiet and spotless. They combine old and new resulting in a lovely inviting environment. The desk staff went way beyond what would be expected. Every request was immediately addressed. The room was nice as was the bathroom. Breakfast was outstanding with a large variety of foods avaalable, including eggs and meat to order. We felt comfortable, safe and pampered in this hotel. Although we didn't use the restaurants within the hotel, there were several options available. The staff arranged for our travel to the airport and we paid for the cab along with our room. A free computer was available in the lobby. Would stay again.

We stayed three nights during a short trip to Lithuania. The hotel is well located right close to the City Hall in the Old Town. The Hotel is brand new, clean, the buffet breakfast highly enjoyable and helps you to set off for a busy day exploring Lithania. The value for money is excellent, we got a larger and better room when we expressed our fears at the reception that the first room we had been given could be noisy at night because just overlooking the central patio. All in all we would recommend the hotel if you want a nice break in an old typically European town. Vilnius is only one hour away and the trains are new and reliable. You can relax in a four stars hotel just for the price of a much more modest hotel anywhere else in Europe.

Hotel staff very accomodating. Even though we were past the breakfast time, they prepared breakfast to order for us.

The location by the riverside and proximity to The Old Town at Kaunas was great. Within walking distance of most historic sites, easy access to public transport (bus/trolley). Friendly staff, good food and wine selection, reasonable prices. Upgraded room was spacious, lovely bathroom too. All in all excellent experience.
