Grotthuss Hotel  

One of the best hotel in Baltic countries.

Perfect location in the beautiful old town with private parking. A rare combination and a great "plus" for the business traveller. Warm nostalgic-stylish atmosphere and well-furnished spacy rooms. Helpful, friendly and professional staff. Also the restaurant deserves a compliment for both the food offered and the staff.

Neither wireless nor LAN internet were working properly at the time of my stay. The staff informed me this will be improved.

Nice hotel all in all. Perfect location, carefull staff, comfortable bed&amenities.

Booked on a flashdeal, therefore it was worth it. But not perfect! Carpeting needs replacement all over the place! The room we stayed at lacked simple things: the tv only had around 15 channels, and the signal was poor! Also, there were simlpy not enough lights in the room: two bed bras and table lamp could not be standard in a 4star hotel. Double bed is not what you call two separate mattresses moved together !

The bedding was super comfortable! Wonderful staff, great breakfast, excellent amenities. We loved our stay.

The hotel is small and friendly run by professional staff who are attentive and courteous. The rooms were spacious and spotlessly clean with a complimentary bowl of fruit on arrival. The breakfast was excellent with a wide choice of food set in a room which overlooked a pleasant courtyard garden. The hotel is well positioned in a quiet area on the edge of the old town which is perfect for visiting the city sites on foot. We would recommend this hotel to our friends.

We were given a kettle and some tea bags in our room when we asked for them. It would have been nice to have some coffee and milk as well.

The hotel is conveniently located, just on the outskirts of the old city, in a quiet street. Service and amenities were excellent.

A very helpful staff with a very nice breakfast buffet. Within walking distance to the old town. Given my very pleasant stay I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Vilnius. The garden room setting of the restaurant is lovely and I look forward to my next visit where I will be sure to dine.

Comfortable rooms, excellent cuisine, perfect breakfast at romantic open terrace, quiet place but several minutes to historic city, professional stuff providing good level of hospitality.

Restaurant is closed for dinner all Sundays and is not accessible for all guests of the hotel during any celebrations or family events when is reserved by external visitors.

I only stayed two nights. The position is very good, on a quiet street, yet only 2 minutes walk to the city center. Wi-fi was working very well. Breakfast was good, I liked the fresh orange juice.

The only annoying thing was the fact that they don't have an elevator. The staff was very nice though and always ready to help you with the luggages.

A very nice hotel located in a quiet backwater within easy reach of the City Centre. The welcome of the reception staff was absolutely first-class. Any number of four and five star hotels around Europe could learn a lot from the individuals involved. A nice and well-appointed room on the second floor but I suspect we would have had a larger room had we been on the first. If we visit again, I shall ask for one (which would negate to a point the lack of a lift). Location is good, particularly ease of access from the railway station, less than 10 minutes away.

Not much in the way of negatives, but the immediate environment, though quiet, is a little run-down; clearly the poorer part of town. The main cricicism is the lack of a lift but this is really only a serious issue if allocated a room "in the roof" as we were.
