Parc Hotel Alvisse    

We had not been informed, at the time of booking, of the very significant buildings works in progress during our stay. The early morning noise outside our window (room 255) was disgustingly unacceptabole. One of the main reasons for booking your hotel was the indoor pool and spa, however, on arrival we were advised that this facility was unavailable. The breakfast procedures were appalling. On the Sunday the queue for breakfast extended into the reception area. At various times there was a shortage of food. Whilst the staff made every attempt to keep up with demand some items ran out and were not replenished. Staff consistently divided off parts of the dining room to lay up for lunch.

The head of housekeeping was very welcoming and provided a lot of information about the hotel and the city. She gave us her telephone number in case we needed something during our stay. She went above and beyond to make us feel welcome.

We had to sleep with the windows completely open even though it was cold outside because the room was way too hot even with the radiator completely turned off. The room was so hot it was very difficult to sleep. The hotel lounge was a very negative experience in that it was grossly understaffed and people were smoking. The front desk staff could be more friendly.

Location is a bit far from city center. Should have a free shuttle

Overall pleasant stay, with comfy bed and decent breakfast. The spa/pool area is a nice addition, although it leaves a bit shabby impression.

There seemed many events taking place in conference rooms, so the whole place was somewhat overcrowded (especially parking - had to walk quite a bit from/to the car)

The hotel was modern, cold and bland. The restaurant and the staff were cold and the food strange. someone on our floor ordered room service and the meal lay almost untouched outside the room until the following morning. The breakfast was self service and coffee from the machine horrid. There was a party going on downstairs and music could be heard throughout. The location is way out of town and bus services only half hourly. The wellness area was not very welcoming. I can't believe this hotel has a 4 star rating!

Everything about the hotel was perfect. However, as part of my job I regularly stay at the hotels around Europe and for the first time I slept in a bed so uncomfortable. I stayed at the room 436. We asked for double bed when we were booking but they just put together 2 single beds. They were very old and soft and unbalanced that we struggled to sleep as we concerned about falling dawn from the bed. I would recommend this hotel however you should ask about the bed in your room.

The reception people are not friendly ... After 22.30 the restaurant is close and no room service .... They told us that the bar was open until 01.00 but it was close at 23.30. When we arrive at 23.30 we have ask for a bottle of water they told us that they have an automat with all kind of drinks... but the water was finish in the automat when we ask them to help us they told us that they can't do nothing .... we ask them that we want a room with a minibar they told us that they can not upgrade the room if we have book with booking.com ... and this for a 4 start hotel ... i am wondering who give them this stars ... In the morning we have been wake up at 07.30 by drill machine... they were renovation the floor where we sleep... when we go to the breakfast my woman toke a bottle of water at our table ... it was not permitted and they toke it back from our table without asking us... only telling us on a rude way that this was not premited ... When we go to tell this story at the reception. It was that everything was normal ... maybe it happen each day such kind of situation but for us it was the first time in years that we experience such kind of low quality of hotel ....

Was a very nice hotel that is currently redecorated. Clean rooms and free wifi plus breakfast included!

The fitnesroom was not jet redecorated.. The equipment was all broken and there was no treathmill.. Maybe not important for every body but i travel a lot and do want to exersize a couple of times per week. They have all the space including a pool and sauna but will need to invest in it. The pool was ok by the way.

Very big hotel that has many facilities. Nice clean, quiet room and a bus stop outside the hotel to get into Luxembourg. They were very helpful with our activities in town.

No refrigerator in the room.
