Good point to start exploring east side of the State (by car, by bus or bike), f.e. Diekirch, Larochette, Bourscheid, Vianden, Echternach and Moselle vineyards
Location very close to the castle, cozy room and the whole place. Nice staff and excellent food and serving of the meals.
Everything was great
Owner and staff were very welcoming and accommodating. Restaurant meal was wonderful. Surrounding countryside was fantastic.
Restaurant small but cosy.
It was very clean and in a great location for hiking. It is just around the corner from the castle. We were greeted at the hotel and given a very thorough introduction. There is a restaurant in the hotel, but it is quite expensive. We walked up the hill to a good pizza place.
It was expensive for what it was. It was more expensive than all the places we stayed on our 2 week trip.
Service was excellent,thanks.
Service was excellent. When I first arrived, I was made to feel at home. There is everything you need for a comfortable stay except the hotel does need to be renovated and modernised. The bed was comfortable. The room was clean.
Decor a little outdated
The food in the hotel restaurant was gourmet & delicious. The room was modern, clean and comfortable--plenty of hot water and the wifi worked in the room. The owner spoke English and gave me lots of good information about the hiking trails and the nearby area. You can buy an excellent map of the hiking trails in the region for 4€, and the restaurant will pack a really good lunch for you if you tell them the night before for 8€. Breakfast in the morning was great.
Nothing, everything was fantastic.
The location is quite picturesque, with a beautiful castle, river, forests and many possibilities for hiking, as well as being quite peaceful and quiet. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful (and multilingual, I counted at least five languages!), and the auberge itself is quite charming, with a nice little restaurant (the food was pretty good too). Our room was very comfortable, nicely furnished, freshly renovated, and very clean, with a nice view to the forest. Overall one of the highlights of our multi-day family trip in the area.
Super place. Unexpected fine restourant. Servise can not be better
Small, tidy, good food, calm
The service is incredible! It's 5 stars. You get lots of attention and help from the very arrival. Location is great. Good rooms, quite.
Very nice and friendly owner, cosy hotel/resto/café (only 8 rooms), delicious food (also vegetarian), beautiful surroundings.
Only cash payments
Hotel was darling, clean, and owner was suburb!! Very friendly and you could tell he cared a great deal about creating an exceptional experience for his guests. We travel a great deal, and have some wonderful experiences, but this was a stand -out experience! Thank you for making our stay memorable!!
Very kind and courteous personnel, cosy hotel, good and reasonably priced dinner
The staff was very helpful. They prepared us a lunch package to take with us during our walks. The room was very clean and the surroundings are superb.
The shower cabin was tiny and the bed too soft. There were no towel hooks. The room was noisy; we heard our neighbor's television every evening.
