Chateau de Schengen  

Very nice and patient staff (our plans and number of people changed overnight, they took it in a very cool way). Our room was cosy (the yellow double room overlooking river on the first floor), and for a castle hotel it was confortable and not too big. I booked months in advance so I got quite a good deal.

The hotel is located in a small town along the Mosel, ideal base for trips to Luxemburg, wine route, and some cities in Germany and France. The rooms are not big but clean, beds were comfortable.

In general the hotel did not meet our expectations. Exterior views of the hotel was nice, but most of the hotel rooms are located in a newly constructed building. Inside, the hotel and rooms missed character and authenticity. Decoration and paintings on walls tried to give a romantic and ancient feeling, but we found this rather cheap and kitsch. The restaurant was also missing cozyness. Not all personnel spoke English, some were friendly but others were not very communicative at all. We didnt really feel welcome and cozy. Breakfast was okay but basic, dinner was good but overpriced.

Travelling with two children under two I can honestly say that everything was ideal & the staff were extremely helpful.

The only complaint would be that our room (123) when we opened a window was a little noisy. This is not a reflection on the hotel though as it is something beyond their control.

Amazing venue, with view over the Moselle. Accomodation resembled palace-style movies, with all the decoration, gardens, and well-preserved infrastructure.

Only small details - the room did not have a wardrobe and the doors had to be locked from inside, otherwise one could open it from outside. Also the breakfast is only served till 9:30, which is not very flexible at weekends, if you want to rest a little bit more.

Ambience and location by the Mosel River.

Staff could be a little more friendly and attentive. On arrival there was nobody at Reception and we had to go searching for somebody to help us.

In every way a great hotel - perfect location next to the Moselle, nice garden and surroundings, spacious and clean room, very good breakfast and - most of all - an excellent and serviceminded staff. Try their (free) winetasting in the old tower - a very nice and competent sommelier! And visit Henri Ruppert in the new modern building on top of the vineyards - great view and very nce food and wine.

It would be nice with a small refrigerator in the room for cooling wines (which are excellent in Luxembourg!), fruit etc.

Bel hôtel dans un château. Chambre avec vue sur la Moselle. Proximité de la réserve naturelle de Haff Réimech.

Le petit déjeuner est certes très varié mais pas top. J'aurais préféré moins de choses mais de meilleure qualité. Et surtout un très mauvais point pour le café.

Sehr schönes, sauberes und grosses Zimmer mit schöner Aussicht. Gutes Frühstücksbuffet und freindliches Personal.

le calme, l'environnement et la gentillesse

le fait qu'on ne puisse pas rentrer en voiture dans le parc, mais on nous a permis de rentrer pour déposer les bagages car la chambre était un peu loin pour transporter ses bagages (pas facile pour les personnes âgées)

Magnifique endroit, le parc, retiré de la circulation vous transporte immédiatement hors du temps Jolie chambre, lit très confortable aux belles dimensions bravo pour l'accueil au restaurant

la baignoire n'est cependant pas très pratique un plateau de bienvenue manque dans les chambres...

Vriendelijk personeel, schone kamer, goede bedden, rustige ligging aan de Moselle, goed verzorgd totaal. Ambiance restaurant. Ontbijt goed verzorgd.

Le cadre très nature entre Moselle et vignobles, le très beau jardin du château, très romantique, ambiance relaxante,literie confortable

La déco un peu rococo du restaurant

L'acceuil, le confort et le jardin très agréable, la qualité du service, le calme, la situation géographique, le rapport qualité/prix.

L'endroit est magnifique et emprunt d'histoire (le château ainsi que le musée européen se trouvant à 2 pas), très calme, vraie ambiance château, beau parc et la Moselle comme voisine. Les chambres sont agréables et le service très sympa. Lieu de départ idéal pour quelques excursions dans le Grand Duché de Luxembourg (pas si grand par sa taille).

Cabine-douche dans la baignoire un petit peu exigüe et il faut un peu de patience lorsqu'on prend sa douche (pression de l'eau), mais on s'y fait... :-)

Chambre petite mais confortable, endroit calme pour le repos, belle vue sur la Moselle,personnel très serviable.
