The hotel don't respond a hotel 4 stars!!!! Internet is not free and very very expensive! Breakfast is very poor for hotel 4****. Very old design, asensor is too slow. I am not comeback for sure!

This is a grand old hotel that takes you back to another time and another style of luxury. My double room was very spacious and very nicely modernized. The breakfast (included) was very good.

The common areas seem a bit tired and the one lift struggles to keep up with demand.

One of the most beautiful hotel's I have stayed in. Balconies overlook city centre, from which you can people watch. The rooms are spacious, clean, and very comfortable. Bar staff very friendly and welcoming. PERFECT location if you are in Luxembourg to shop, eat, and enjoy the casemates :)

No free wi-fi, but who cares. Go outside and enjoy beautiful Luxembourg!

Bad sound proofing in some rooms, either because you can hear some conversations from your neighbours, also some of decor needs to be redone in rooms. Windows have single, not double glass.

Very nice traditional hotel with decoration in very good order (in contrast to some comments on this website) and staff very nice. Although we only booked a standard room we got a lovely room with a view over the valley(perhaps as not too many visitors on a snowy January weekend). Location excellent and breakfast nice. Recommended.

The staff were very friendly. The location was excellent.

The beds were very small and uncomfortable. A double bed is two singles pushed together. The breakfast was included in the price but the quality was only fair.

The location of this hotel is superb; however, it is on a busy intersection and we did not get very much sleep due to the noise.

The bed was very uncomfortable. It felt like a cot.

Ik gaf een cake van een sterrenrestaurant aan de receptie met de mededeling : For tonight a nice desert! ... en dat werd niet of nauwelijks gewaardeerd. Hij keek in het tasje en zette het terzijde. Een "thank you" kon er nauwelijks af. Ach ik denk dan maar dat de nachtdienst er toch lekker van gesmuld heeft.

Excellent location. Staff very courteous. Restaurant food was excellent. Bar prices very reasonable.

In need of refurbishment especially the bathroom. On arrival by car there is nowhere to unload your car. We parked in the pay & display opposite. There is covered parking behind the hotel which can get very busy. Contrary to the advice on your web site you cannot book parking in advance.

The Grand Hotel Cravat is fantastically located -to all of the local attractions in Luxembourg City - within a good walking distance. Both the Gell Frau , Adolphe Bridge and The Petrusse Valley are literally opposite the road, whilst both the Place D'Artes and Place Du Guillame ( where the Tourist Information Centre is) is literally two short blocks behind the hotel. Thus the location is its main unique selling point.

The biggest gripe I had here is that the Cleaner left my hotel door open - and that there was a risk that my room could've been burgled. I immediately reported this to the Concierge. I pointed out that the Cleaner wasn't waiting to change the towels or bed-linen as her cleaning trolley wasn't visible anywhere on the floor. ( The room was cleaned and the bed made up when i returned ). Besides that, the hotel room needed a bit of modernisation. There was a crack on the WC Basin as well as on both the bedroom and bathroom walls which gave an impression of poor maintenance. The bedcovers , bedroom and the dining room furniture also looked extremely worn.

The staff at the Grand Hotel Cravat are simply wonderful, they made my little girl feel very special. The hotel is spotlessly clean and very well managed. The restaurant provided some of the best vegetarian food I have ever had and breakfast was very good. The location of the hotel is marvellous and the views were perfect, I would highly recommend staying at this hotel as it is such a welcoming place, I will definitely be staying again.

Location and atmosphere

No air conditioning. Due its location it suffers from quite a bit of traffic noise. Due to the heat we had to keep a window open at night this meant we heard a lot of external noise, the hotel need to install aircon.

The best location in the heart of the old city, next to the cathedral, 5 minutes walk from the bus station. The room was wide enough and clean, well-facilitated for use, and furnished with furnitures in good taste. I liked it a lot. The hotel staffs were nice and friendly, helpful for sightseeing. Also, the hotel itself seems to have history which gives the it a special taste. I enjoyed my stay so much, and if I will have a chance, will be back to here.

If there was a set for coffee and tea in the guest room, it were better.
