Family atmosphere Restaurant is really nice (feels like a real Italian!)
Bed a bit too soft for my liking
The gentleman who was booking in the guests; he was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was really good too!
1. The gentleman who was our first contact at the hotel was clearly not interested in hotel guests which he made very clear in his responses. Later on during our dinner he got a bit more friendly. 2. The smell of food in the hall; leading to the rooms and our room. 3. The temperature in the same areas; it was appalling high. Opening up the door of the French balcony did not help much. 3. The number of wall outlets; there was an big standing ventilator in the room but no free wall outlet to connect it to. Luckily I had an PDU in the car; which allowed me to use the TV while running the ventilator (for the whole night) to get some air circulation in the room. 4. The wall outlets in the bath room; 1 was apparently completely gone; only 2 wires stuck out of the wall and the second one was hanging from its wires; holding the hair dryer connected to the grid.
Restaurant is very good. More a restaurant with rooms, than a hotel with a restaurant.
My room under the roof was a sauna. Rooms are spartan, but reasonable. Management anonymous. Impossible to get through to reception, not even any number for it in room. Breakfast was very rudimentary, some sweaty ham and cheddar in plastic. Cereals appeared later and at least two people including myself asked for eggs and were flatly refused (even though there is a good restaurant). Above all, I asked Booking.com for a hotel in Capellen and was given this which absolutely is not in Capellen, but miles away!
the breakfast,large rooms,making your own tea,or food,cool refreshings.
we liked evrything
Staff was nice. Clean room. Great pizza from restaurant.
ROOM WAS LABELLED "NON SMOKING"- but smelt "smoking"
Clean room and bed was ok.
Staff wasn't extra helpful. I didn't speak the local language but english was ok.
having received my notice of late arrival the hotel manager called me on my mobile to arrange how we would get into our room even in the night (they have no front desk service after 11pm), he had a pretty good English, so it was very smooth and efficient - nice chap, good effort
the triple room we received had its view to the hotel garbage bins (smell, noise) :-( though they changed it to another one when we complained after the first night:-)
