Our original room in the hotel was 204, a lovely large sunny room in the main building, facing the park and river across the street. The problem was traffic noise. We noticed it when we checked in but assumed it would quiet down at night. It did not. If anything, it was louder. My husband grew up in a city and wasn't bothered by the noise, but I could not sleep. In the morning we asked Mike if we could move to a quieter room; he said yes, possibly today, definitely tomorrow. When we checked back later in the day, he said it would have to be the next day. So I was forced to endure another sleepless night. The next day, we moved to room 301, which was blessedly quiet. If loud traffic bothers your sleep, I would recommend asking for a room away from the front of the hotel.
We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights during a visit to trace my husband's family roots in Luxembourg. Mike, the owner/manager, was helpful with bus and train connections (we had forgotten our IDP so couldn't rent a car!). The hotel was conveniently located, a short walk to the bus and train station and to downtown restaurants. Rooms were basic, but clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good, with delicious crusty rolls, yogurt, cereal, juice, eggs you could boil to your liking. Breakfast was early -- 7 to 9:30. Mike explained that this is primarily a businessman's hotel, not targeted so much at tourists. The hotel has a large bar and restaurant but neither were open. We would have loved to be able to enjoy a beer on their lovely front terrace!
