Berdorf is my favorite go-to location if I wanna go on a hiking weekend. It's about a three hour drive from where I live, so very doable for a weekendtrip. The entire Echternach region in beautiful (check out the Mullerthal Trail), but the region around Berdorf is especially beautiful. The forests around Berdorf all have those typical rock formations with stairs and ladders, little chasms etc that really make it so much more interesting than a normal forest hike. The town itself is very small and is really just meant to spend the night in between two days of heavy hiking.FilipBelgium

All staff was so helpful and friendly, the room itself was bigger than we expected, very clean and cozy. We had room-service breakfast with all that we needed. The location of the hotel is perfect. It stays directly on the road, but at night it was super quiet; only 5 minutes from spectacular caves and a little far away from beautiful waterfalls. Absolutely recommended!

It is in the center of Mullerthal Trail, it is quite convenient to the walking routes. we walked E1 from Berdorf to Echternach, very exciting and we took bus for free from Echtenach back to hotel. The next day we drove to Schiessentumpel waterfall. It is quite near from the hotel (9.3km). Beautiful scenery!

The room was cozy, the staff very friendly and welcoming (we got sandwiches to go for our hike without even asking). In the morning and evening, we enjoyed our stay on the little and quiet terrace. From a location perspective, it is great starting point for Mullerthal Trail Route 2 and very close to Echternach, the starting point for Mullerthal Trail Route 1.

Very spacious suite with a comfortable bed and a small balcony. There is ample parking space behind the hotel. Hotel is in a sleepy bedroom community with country livestock within walking distance in the countryside (no smells). The restaurant cook is amazing and should be a big time chef in any major city.
