Hotel Petry  

Hotel muy cuidado, funcional, cómodo y moderno. En el centro de la ciudad. Muy recomendable.

We stayed in the Family Apartment and had lots of room for 3 adults and 2 young children - there was even a kitchenette. Very clean, pretty hotel. The restaurant was wonderful - great food, and they brought dinner up to our room one night at no charge. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Vianden is a beautiful town and I wish we could have stayed longer!

The breakfast was expensive for a family, though very good. Parking was a limited too, but the staff was very helpful in finding a spot.

Location of Hotel was great and had parking. Great views from some rooms of castle. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good facilities at sister hotel. Overall Hotel was ok.

Hotels restaurant and bar were closed, this was a Tuesday and they do not open on a Tuesday untill the following week. Check first! First room was not what I would call luxury and this is what I had booked. Light fitting hanging off wall and sofa was stained. Second room ok but still would not class this as luxury, just a standard room. No double beds as with some European hotels. 2 singles pushed together. I asked for a double.

My husband and I were staying at Hotel Petry for one night. We have only one word for Hotel Petry : exellent! We will go there again!

Good price/quality. Friendly staff. Excellent breakfast buffet.

Booked "suite", but was just double room.

Managed by the owners, very helpful. Rooms are comfortable.

No boiler for water to make tea or coffee in the room.

Excellent value - use of the swimming pool in a neigbouring hotel. Room was large and comfortable. Would book here again.

Great welcome on arrival, the staff were amazing throughout whole stay. Food was authentic. However room was outstanding, we had the penthouse suite, which was worth the extra money as there was lots of room for our 8 month old to run about on the floor. He also loved the jacuzzi bath.

Only 1 complaint, weren't told that a pool was available in the sister hotel(1 min away) which would have been perfect for our son.

Location: castle footsteps, quiet little town, Vianden is only 50-min slow drive away from Luxembourg City, very close to various kayaking opportunities nearby, only 1 hour away from German Trier. Rarely advertized but still available good free pool in the 200-m-down-the- street hotel. Good speed free internet connection. Very friendly staff.

Comfortable room, excellent breakfast, and helpful staff.

Good location for visiting surrounding countryside, rivers etc. Brasserie in hotel very good for reasonably priced pizzas and pastas. It overlooked the river and was set outside under canopies - probably best al fresco location in the town. Room was very large and spacious, with a new, very big, flatscreen TV. Good breakfast with large choice. Free parking in hotel car park.

On arrival, hotel had no booking for us on their system. Fortunately there were rooms available, and we were upgraded to a "luxe" room(our booking had been for "confort"). Receptionist was very welcoming and helpful by giving us maps etc and telling us what we could see in town, but omitted to tell us about locked fridge and safe that we had in room, or wifi access. We had to return to desk to enquire about these things, and were provided with keys and access code. We were also not told how we could access sauna etc and no mention was made of swimmng pool at sister hotel.

Upgraded without any extra costs, the owner and staff were helpful and always around.
