Hotel Petry  

Location is nice in the region and within the village, staff was also friendly and all the basic services worked well.

It was advertised as a spa hotel but sauna was agaisnt a fee and swimming pool was in another nearby hotel, where also sauna would have cost extra. This is a bit excessive when the area is good for hiking and the hotel told to be a spa hotel.

It was the second time we came here because we had very good recollection of last time, and I can say, we were not disappointed. The staffs were and still are very friendly, the food was good for good price and the rooms were very clean. We will come back.

The rooms are a bit noisy.

Excellent value - use of the swimming pool in a neigbouring hotel. Room was large and comfortable. Would book here again.

A lovely, friendly hotel in a great location. The buffet breakfast was really good value, and the evening meal was enjoyable. The village of Vianden is beautiful and we would love to return to explore the area further.

Very nice hotel in the centre of town. We had the penthouse suite that was very spacious and well worth the extra money. Room and bathroom very clean. Staff friendly. Private parking onsite was a bonus. Good selection at breakfast.

It is situated in a beautiful place! Everything was so perfect!

Good location for visiting surrounding countryside, rivers etc. Brasserie in hotel very good for reasonably priced pizzas and pastas. It overlooked the river and was set outside under canopies - probably best al fresco location in the town. Room was very large and spacious, with a new, very big, flatscreen TV. Good breakfast with large choice. Free parking in hotel car park.

On arrival, hotel had no booking for us on their system. Fortunately there were rooms available, and we were upgraded to a "luxe" room(our booking had been for "confort"). Receptionist was very welcoming and helpful by giving us maps etc and telling us what we could see in town, but omitted to tell us about locked fridge and safe that we had in room, or wifi access. We had to return to desk to enquire about these things, and were provided with keys and access code. We were also not told how we could access sauna etc and no mention was made of swimmng pool at sister hotel.

Would rather that payment be completed by the hotel via bookings.com. I had to pay cash due to problems presenting my credit card.

Castle visit

-the restaurant and pizza place, very good breakfast; convenient location, close to bus station, for travelers coming by bus.

- very poor internet connection (no connection during the night, signal strength varies during the day); - disturbing noises till late evening or during the night, coming either from restaurant or from door-less games room (shouting etc), or people talking loudly on the corridors, so be careful about the room you are given (should not be located on the restaurant side), unless you go there for entertainment. - did not like the twin beds, we expected a double one instead.
