Hotel Rix  

The location is excellent - right across the street from the pedestrian zone. Really good breakfast set in the elegant dining room. Comfortable bed and pillows.

This is a city hotel, so the city noises abound. Being an older hotel there isn't air conditioning (or at least we didn't notice), so windows needed to be opened to cool the room and the traffic noise was loud. So bring ear plugs and all is well! Otherwise no complaints.

Very good location for city exploring. There is a bus hub 1 min walk from the hotel.

The lobby and dining room look very fancy but are hugely contrasting to poor & ugly & old furniture in rooms. Rooms look like in a 1-2* hotel, TV is very tiny with only local channels (although according to the list next to your TV, there should be a cable with many intl channels). Bed was making noises with every move. Breakfast is just basic, almost no selection of anything. Wifi is only lowspeed - provided by the city of Luxembourg and it is the same network as the one that you can connect to anywhere in the city (yes, there is a free wifi through out the whole city).

Location was excellent. The building has plenty of character. Very clean.

Only offered a small selection of drinks in the mini bar. No snacks available.

The hotel was in the best location we wished for and it was good value for money. The bonus was was the parking facility available at the hotel which was free. It was easy to find and the rooms were comfortable.

The only downside and this is common in europe is the access to BBC World or similar

The female receptionist who greeted us was excellent and very informative. She is a credit to your hotel.

It's a bit noisy during the night on the roadside of the hotel.

The hotel was in an excellent location to access the oid city area which was just over the Rue Royal. Parking is a big problem in the city so free parking is a real plus as most parking areas have 5hr limit and the cost builds up. The public rooms are grand and the great shame is they are not really used to their full potential, and a suprise when the exterior of the hotel is remenicent 70's Costa hotel. The hotel is very clean, and well maintained, the terrace at the from of the hotel offers a pleasent ,but sometimes noisy place to have a drink. The rooms were a good size with the added bonus of a balcony to sit on, again more Costas than city

The rooms do not have air-conditioning, and were very hot when, we stayed as the temperature reached 30c, and traffic noise meant that you couldn't really open the door and window to ventilate the room, a fan was provided. The breakfast was basic

the hotel definitely needs a restyling. The nice lobby contrasts with the oldish rooms. TV with very limited channel offer and tiny screen. Breakast was quite poor. Not a chance of having hot milk. Very few crosissants when compared with the number of guests

Bien situé; parking; des parcs à proximité et la rue avec les meilleurs boutiques (pour ceux qui ont le temps). Transports en communs très pratiques. Accès à Internet.

Un écran de tv tout petit. L'hote est en plein dans le quartie bancaire mais à 5 minutes ont trouve de l'animation dans la journée. En soirée, comme partout dans la ville, c'est désert.

Hôtel un peu vieillot ; pas de mini bar dans la chambre ;
