Location and parking facilities

This was a basic hotel, no frills at all. If you are going for business or pleasure and do not anticipate spending much time in the hotel then this is perfect. Small family run hotel, in the heart of the city, close to all restaurants and pubs. Rooms are clean and tidy and with only a few rooms per floor are very quiet.

Easy parking in front of hotel. Short walk to all of the city. Very good breakfast. If ever we go to this area I would certainly stay there.

One way systems make it a little difficult to find. Wedo not have a sat nav.

The location is excellent - right across the street from the pedestrian zone. Really good breakfast set in the elegant dining room. Comfortable bed and pillows.

This is a city hotel, so the city noises abound. Being an older hotel there isn't air conditioning (or at least we didn't notice), so windows needed to be opened to cool the room and the traffic noise was loud. So bring ear plugs and all is well! Otherwise no complaints.

Very good location for city exploring. There is a bus hub 1 min walk from the hotel.

The lobby and dining room look very fancy but are hugely contrasting to poor & ugly & old furniture in rooms. Rooms look like in a 1-2* hotel, TV is very tiny with only local channels (although according to the list next to your TV, there should be a cable with many intl channels). Bed was making noises with every move. Breakfast is just basic, almost no selection of anything. Wifi is only lowspeed - provided by the city of Luxembourg and it is the same network as the one that you can connect to anywhere in the city (yes, there is a free wifi through out the whole city).

Personal und Aufenthalt , insbesondere die Nähe zum Zentrum, waren wirklich sehr gut. Wir würden bei einem Besuch in Luxemburg dieses Hotel wieder wählen, aber leider steht ja ab dem 1.November 2012 ein Verkauf und möglicherweise ein Abriss des Gebäudes an.

Sehr zentrale Lage

Trotz zweier guter Kaffeeautomaten Saeco und Jura war es nicht möglich Kaffee mit aufgeschäumter Milch zu bekommen. Als sehr nachteilig empfanden wir es, dass Wurst, Butter, etc. abezählt auf den Tisch gestellt wurden und erst als alles leer war, wurden wiederum nur einige Scheiben nachgelegt. Eines 4-Sterne-Hotels sehr unwürdig.

Cet hôtel serait très honorable s'il affichait 3 étoiles. "Rix" donne une impression phonétique (trompeuse) de "Ritz", mais ça n'a rien à voir. Selon ma compréhension, dans un 4 étoiles, il devrait y avoir : 1. un minibar, 2.des serviettes de toilettes de plus de 50X30 cm (approximation), 3. une télé dont l'écran a une surface supérieure à celle d'un petit ordinateur portable 4. une plus grande variété de choix d'aliments au petit déjeuner 5. Un restaurant pour ceux qui veulent soit manger sur place pour retourner travailler rapidement dans leur chambre soit profiter d'un room service permettent de dîner en chambre. La chambre 24 donne sur l'aération/air conditionné/chauffage d'un bâtiment produisant un bruit qui ne permet qu'aux mal-entendants de dormir fenêtre ouvertes. Pour un quatre étoile, il s'agit d'un hôtel vraiment nul (je ne comprends pas comment il a eût l'autorisation de les afficher de la part des autorités compétentes). Pour un 3 étoiles, il est acceptable, pour un deux étoiles, il est bien. Pour la personne qui fait l'accueil de nuit, il vaut un 4 étoiles ou un palace.

Pokoje na pierwszy rzut oka schludne, choć na dywanie pełno zaschniętych plam, a na kotarze od łazienki grzyb (fuj!)

Hôtel très bien situe par rapport à notre objectif accueil à l'écoute

Hôtel surclassé : 2 étoile style ibis correspond mieux pas de réfrigérateur dans la chambre hôtel qui a été vendu et le personnel le fait savoir avenue royal en grand chantier

La struttura, la posizione, la stanza con particolare riferimento al bagno, la gentilezza degli staff, e non ultimo il parcheggio a disposizione.

Das gute Preis/Leistungs verhältnis, freundliches Personal.

Zimmer könnten renoviert werden Klimaanlagen im hinteren Hotelbereich störend laut Abreise musste vor 12.00 Uhr vonstatten gehen

Hotel très accueillant et bien situé, facile d'abord. Bien que sur un boulevard, l'hotel est bien isolé et calme la nuit. La chambre est parfaite. Le petit-déjeuner est très correct, avec des produits frais et un super café....pour les amateurs. Le personnel est très disponible et aimable.

Tv très petite,difficulté pour passer les chaînes avec la télécommande,beaucoup de chaînes brouillées par rapport à celles mentionnées sur la fiche,très peu de chaînes en français
