Hôtel - Restaurant " Victor Hugo"  

We had a spacious room with good bathroom facilities. The breakfast buffet had good variety. The hotel was clean, staff was courteous and helpful. Parking was convenient once you got the permit from the ti office across the street/river. It was a perfect setting in Vianden at the center of the town. Many restaurants were available in several directions and a small grocery store was right next door.

Our room was quite warm and open windows made sleep difficult. The hotel is at the bottom of a hill on a curve in the road. There is much construction traffic and it is the main road through town. Traffic was heavy until late and started very early (5:00 am). On the cobbled streets, it was particularly noticeable. With the windows closed, it was fine. A room away from the street (if any) might solve the problem if you like open windows at night. Also, WI-Fi was not available in the room, but there was a quiet. Additional (unused) restaurant area where the wifi worked fine.

Excellent location in the middle of Vianden (wonderfull small town), close to the river and right under the castle. Excellent food, kind staff. A hotel where to come back anytime.

This is a cute little hotel in a nice picturesque small town. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful, and the room was clean, comfortable, and had a great view of the river, castle, and the town. The breakfast provided by the hotel was a typical European standard with cheese, sausage, various breads, juice, and coffee. Very adequate. Parking is on the street, however, it did not cause any problem. Shopping and several restaurants were in walking distance from the hotel. We would definitely return to the Victor Hugo if we are in the area.

The only things at least somehow acceptable were the view over the castle from the room window and the breakfast. Otherwise, this hotel was rather nightmare.

Ontbijt : te weinig personeel alles op: iemand gaan zoeken om bij te vullen, sorry geen eierdopjes ,sorry de bruine broodjes zijn op. Fruitsap leeg.Ik hecht belang aan een gezellig ontbijt om de dag te starten.

Amabilité du personnel, cadre agréable, hotel dans le centre, mais pas de problemes particuliers. Nous referions si nous étions de passage. Petit déjeuner inclus, a ne pas négliger !

Mooie kamer, recent vernieuwd

Sigaretten rook geur in de kamer van het cafe eronder. (We zaten nochtans op 3e verd)

Bon accueil, notamment une carte de randonnée nous a été remise à notre arrivée suite à notre demande via le site "Booking.com". Une ambiance sympathique et conviviale avec le personnel à l'écoute. Le sauna de l'établissement. Le calme et la sérénité qui règne dans l'établissement.

La jolie chambre n'était pas chauffée à notre arrivée et un radiateur ne fonctionnait pas. Le lit de type "allemand" 2x90 ; nous préférons un lit de 1.40 m ou de 1.60m (eh oui ! ! ! ).

L'ambiance et le décor de la grande salle de restaurant sont chaleureux. Très bonne cuisine.La situation de l 'hôtel est belle, la vue de la chambre sur l'Our, la chapelle médiévale et en surplomb le château . Bref petit séjour à revivre.

De combinatie van restaurant en cafe. Het feit dat je in het cafe nog mag roken. De sfeer van lekker tafelen in het restaurant en aan de andere kant de de sfeer van de bevolking daar. Het eten : eerste dag was voor ons het eten iets te vettig (forel en victor hugo salade)maar de tweede dag was het dan weer uitstekend(eend). Zeer gezellig ingericht, vriendelijke bediening en zeer proper.
