The floor in the room was dirty and cold.
* The staff was very friendly, open-minded and ready to help at any time. * The room was big and clean. The beds were one of the most comfortable I ever slept in. * The furniture in the room was also good: a wardrobe, a table and chairs and a hairdryer in the bathroom. * Towels were provided. * Free WiFi * From the bus station it's only a 5 minutes walk to the hostel. Thus from the hostel to the Old Town of Riga it takes less than 10 minutes of walking. *** The hostel is really worth the money: a big room, great beds and an own bathroom - Excellent! ***
* The rooms are quite clairaudient. You can hear your neighbors talking, may they be in the rooms next, above or under you. * The room was really cold when we arrived. But after turning on the heating it got warm after some hours. * To reach the hostel you have to pass the Central Market which looks quite scary in the evening when there is really nobody.
The location is super, it is close to the old town, but the price is still low. The staff is very warm and helpful. There is a kitchen and a dining room and it is really comfortable to eat there if you have your own food. The hotel is very clean.
The floors desperately need carpets, the floor tiles in the rooms are cold. The blankets are not warm.
MY ROOM WAS NICE AND WARM. THE DINING AREA WAS ROOMY. GOOD TO HAVE A ROOF OVER ONES HEAD.
THE AREA WASN'T ALL THAT GREAT, BUT I'VE BEEN IN AND LIVED IN SOME ROUGH SPOTS IN MY TIME. I HAD SOME VERBAL ABUSE THROWN AT ME WHEN I WAS LEAVING RIGA, BUT IT DIDN'T MATTER SO MUCH BECAUSE I COULDN'T UNDERSTAND WHAT THEY WERE SAYING TO ME. NOT WISE TO WALK AROUND THE VICINITY LOOKING LIKE A TYPICAL TOURIST. EXCEPT I DON'T LOOK LIKE A TYPICAL TOURIST.
- Really very nice staff, the receptionist is a kind smiley lady, ready to help and give advice. -Place is awesome - for money great value and location
Helpful staff, location next to market
Location next to Market - imagine it can be daunting for solo traveller at night.
Free city maps, free wifi
Pillow too flat for me
Very close to old town (10 min walk). Rooms and bathrooms are clean and cosy. Staff is helpful and speaks major languages.
Located IN the market, so may be a little bit noisy in the morning, but within acceptable level. Parking is free only on weekends (5 min walk from hostel).
The position near the city center, coach station and railway station. The level of quality is good for the price and the couple room was clean.
It's situated into the food market area and in the night it is not dangerous, but there aren't people on the street.
Close to main railway and bus stations. Interesting to see the bustling of local market. Kitchen facilities and fridge. Helpful staff.
Noise can be disturbance if sensitive to it. No lift (seem to be under construction).
well organized program for the guest. kindness and prifessional preparation
Close to all public transport, near the train station and the old town, very nice young ladies helping with all the questions. Market was no problem, no noise in my room, enjoyed lots of fresh fruit.
There are many homeless being around the hostel,it s in the big local market. Feeling not comfortable when we walk around.
Location right by the market and close to old town and station. Friendly staff. Somewhere to leave bikes
Excellent value for money. Friendly staff.
Difficult to find at night.
I came bu bus late in the evening, and it was very close to the bus station
Quiet, clean, definitely worth the price.
I really like everything here. Spacious and nicely decorated room with clean bathroom, nice stuffs. Cleanness of the room was beyond my expectation. Location of this hostel is fairly central even though it seems difficult to reach when I first arrived here.
As I arrived here midnight, it seems unsafe. Young people did skateboarding or hanging around, so you should be careful in the night. Also, the way to this hostel is not simple if you come from the train station or stockmann (I mean Gogola iela). If you arrive at the Bus terminal or Airport, you should use Pragas iela rather than Gogola iela. Also, there were some noise coming from the outside, because it is so close to the market. But despite these drawbacks, this hostel offers tidy, clean, central, and comfortable accommodation in a cheap price.
This is my best hostel experience ever. Everything is clean and kithen (with huge freedge) is big with lot of space for sittting place. Very helpful staff, who also help me to a doctor.
Taxi driver doesnt find it:) It was Riga taxi..
All in all clean, comfortable, quiet place. Close to the train and bus station. It is in the middle of a big market. Lots of fruits and other food stuff. Some guest said that it is noisy because of the market. I didn't find it noisy at all.
Hostel is in the middle of a big market. In the evening, especially during the night it is deserted. For some people (especially for girls) it might be scary to walk through the market. Single beds are too narrow. There is a kitchen but there is nothing there except a microwave.
Location. Shower. :)
Wi-Fi didn't work in my room on 3-rd floor.
all is the best!
Good wifi, close to the city center
Location near coach and rail stations, nice, clean and big en-suite room, kind staff, free wi-fi, kitchen downstairs, really good price!
