Amber Sea Hotel & Spa  

This was a perfect place to get away from the many cities my friends and I had been staying in on a month-long trip. It is very peaceful and offer many services to their clients. The breakfast and dinners are very adequate and the location is good, in respect to downtown Jurmala or walking to the train to go into Riga. The masseuse was especially good! I absolutely recommend this place, however with reservations (see below)

It was a shame that after 4 great days we had a very negative experience with the hotel manager while at check-out. Just after we had paid and were still standing at the counter waiting for our taxi, I realized that we had paid too much for one room - we had been quoted a single and double and had been charged for two doubles. I respectfully approached the manager, who stated she would check our reservation confirmation. She came back, stating that yes, in fact there had been a mistake in the invoice, but then asked what I expected to happen and proceeded to lecture me like a 10-year-old as to why I should have checked all of this before paying in the first place. While I tried to remain calm and politely ask for reimbursement in whatever form was most convenient, admitting that I had made a mistake, she then demanded that I take cash, which would come out of the pocket of the desk worker who had run the invoice and our cards...and continued to berate the worker to us, while he was standing right there. The whole scenario went on longer than it needed to and was completely ridiculous. In the end, we were reimbursed what we were owed, but there was absolutely no reason for the manager to handle the situation as she did.

Great location, small hotel in the pine forest, quiet and close to the beach.

The room is really small (but enough for short staying)

The really strange thing was that upon our arrival the hotel staff could not find our reservation, although we had a booking.com confirmation.

Понравилось близкое расположение к морю. Очень удобны (особенно с детьми) ужины, включенные в стоимость. Ухоженная территория, сосновый лес, детская площадка, возможность завтракать на открытом воздухе, достаточная близость к центру, тихий район.

Номера достаточно скромного размера. Брали Sun Suite, ожидал, что размер комнат будет побольше.

Szívélyes és vendégszerető személyzet, bőséges reggeli és vacsora, széles választékkel, biztosítva volt a nyugodt, kellemes pihenés. Nagyon természeti, csendes környezetben van a szálloda. Szolgáltatásai magas színvonalúak voltak. Tiszta szobák, kulturált körülmények.

отличное расположение в тихом, уютном месте рядом с морем. доброжелательный персонал. отличная кухня (ассортимент блюд каждый день менялся, приготовлены завтраки и ужины просто прекрасно). всё очень понравилось:и новогоднее оформление гостиницы, и номер, и ресторан, и бассейн.

Отель очень уютный и комфортный, вокруг зеленая территория. Хорошее и разнообразное питание. Находится далековато от центральной части города, но благодяря этому вокруг тихо и спокойно, нет туристической суеты, что способствует отдыху.

Красота сочетания природа-отель, вышколенный, предупредительный персонал, домашний уют, чистота, близость к морю и к центру.

Невозможность взять велосипеды на сутки или на дл.время с соответствующей скидкой.

Das Hotel ist sehr strandnah gelegen. Im Garten und auf der Terrassekonnte man schön frühstücken. Viel Obst und frische Salate zum Essen.

Das Zimmer im Westen war auf Grund der Bäume recht dunkel. Bei jedem Duschen wurde das ganze Badezimmer nass.

пробыли в отеле 5 дней, все было отлично. очень отзывчивый персонал, довольно новая гостиница и номера, хороший ресторан с домашней кухней, хорошая територия при отеле, очень подходит для тех, кто хочет провести отдых с детьми в тишине, рядом с морем, и недалеко от цивилизации, до майори примерно 2.5 км.

из того, что улучшить - полотенца, немного застираны, но чистый и нормальные, и чуть маленький номер, но вполне хватает для проживания. но все было супер!

Siisti, miellyttävä ilmapiiri hienossa ympäristössä. Kiva ja iso, aidattu pihaalue. Lyhyt matka rannalle. Sopii hyvin perheellisille.

Aika kaukana keskustasta. Jalkakäytävät huonokuntoisia.
