I requested an earlt check-in and the hosts kindly accepted it and met me about 8 a.m. In my situation it was rather convenient as then I was planning to spend the whole day away. It's a little bit away from the citycenter, but at the same time quite close to it with a tram stop at hand. As I had some business at the particular addres near to the hostel the location was ideal for me.
But actually we were given not a double/twin as we had booked but a room for 4 (though we were promised nobody will be added to this room except us). During the day the host asked us to change the room for the 2nd night (2 nights were booked) for a twin still. We agreed as it was not a problem for us. But eventually we were sent to the room without private bathroom (though in the vaucher it was clearly marked - 'private bathroom'). And what is more without any washing accessories (no soap, no shower gel. no toilet paper). It's difficult to say whether they don't give it for rooms without bathroom (1st night we had them) generally or they forgot to do it esp. for us, anyway it was not very pleasant. Luckily after our request the host provided us with this stuff. The host begged pardon for putting us in this room without the bathroom as they according to his words made a mistake (actually the photo of the room I had in the vaucher is totally different), but still it was a big minus of this accomodation. In the new room was horribly noisy as if the walls are from paper (children crying and people clapping the doors). The socket in the shared bathroom was out of order,
Clean, nice room, with tv and table like a hotel
We arrived with dark, found no reception, knocked at a random door and hardly we managed to communicate
It's very close to a tram stop that takes you into the city in 10 min. The room had a bathroom included, and the price is cheap
We couldn't find the entrance, there is no reception (only a phone number), no breakfast, basically no nothing. It's true you can't ask much more for the price
1. Localisation was ok. Not very far from a central bus/train station.
1. Owner does not raise confidence. 2. Very dark bathroom. 3. Owner offers kitchen for guests but equipment is a mockery. It is in very poor condition. 4. Offered room looks fine on photos but the truth is that, it is very small and quite dark bedroom(black&white walls) and not everyone will like it.
Family run business, wife is friendly the husband doesn't have the skills.
Room allocated VERY SMALL, no individual lockers, NO TV even if it was advertised and owned didn't supply me with the TV set. WC dated and NOT clean. VERY OLD building!!
The oictures di not show the real hostel
The hostel is located quite close to The Old town-about 20 min. walk. Our room ( nr 9) was very nice, clean, after renovation. Sheets, duvet were fresh, with the laundry smell. Beds were very comfortable. Wi fi is working great- Completely don't understand why people, who were stayed on that hostel wrote that it's working bad?! There is a kitchen, where all guests can prepare meals. Maybe not very clean, but this is a hostel-not a 5 stars hotel. So, if You a real traveler you can choose this place. We recommend.
We've sent an email to this hostel, asking if can we be a little bit earlier than at 2 pm. No one respond. So we arrived at 11.00 Am, after ten hours trip. We were very tired. Landlord-very nice guy, told us that he can't give us a room until 2 pm. He wasn't flexible.
• location is relatively close to the city center/old town, there is public transport nearby • own bathroom (read further down)
* Avoid if you can * Don't get fooled by photos of pretty room design - this place is much worse than it looks like on this site. Here's why: • not the safest district to be outdoors at night • the house looks very old on the outside • no reception at all. You need to look for the only staff member yourself. Hint: try room nr. 7 • payment only by cash, no receipts unless you make the administrator send you an invoice - then you might be lucky enough to have it signed after payment • the only staff member is unintelligent (albeit somewhat friendly), most probably speaks zero English and doesn't really do much around the place • Wi-Fi works very badly and often loses connection • kitchen is quite dirty, the fridge stinks inside and you need to wash dishes/cups before use • room door sometimes gets stuck, also insulates poorly from all the noises coming from the kitchen • room itself is very dirty: dust on the surfaces, dirty floor, bed sheets look used, towels smell • very little space inside the room and almost no furniture to store your things • bathroom is not tidy either, toilet seems to leak on the floor, shower gets clogged • no shampoo/shower gel provided - just some hand soap and bath foam tl;dr: horrible
Though it is considered as a hostel, we had a standard double bad room. It takes 20 min by tram to get to the center.
The sheets are rather dirty, the stuff hardly speaks English. It was January and it was pretty cold at night.
It is possible to walk to the Old Town and it is easy to reach the airport from the hostel.
It was very difficult to communicate with the host/administrator in English and she was a little rude. The room had a very strange smell. Internet did not work in the room, only in the (not very comfortable) common areas, and the picture of the TV was green and blurry. There was mould in the bathroom and in the stairwell.
