Score from 1905 reviews Very good
The room we got had cigarette smell and so we let the front desk know and immediately gave us another room which was closer to the stairs.
The area where it is isn't very appealing and it's far at walking distance from the city center. It's fine in general but I wouldn't really recommend it for young travelers, this time we were just looking for some higher level comfort but we found nothing special. The elevator was not working so we had to use the stairs for luggage and such.
Warm, quiet ( mostly) great tram service (9,7,3) in the doorstep, lovely traditional area, shop on the otherside if the road. This is our second visit and we would come back again.
No tea or coffee making facilities but a machine in the foyer. Beds not great comfort wise and I ended up stiff in the morning but bearable. Quilt in double very narrow but bearable as we were getting a cheap rate which made this last minute trip possible.
Clean bathroom, VERY good breakfast choice, extremely fast internet, helpful staff, 15 minutes walk from the railway station (5 minutes tram ride)
Shady neighbourhood, no elevator
Closeness to city Friendly staff Great facilities Excellent breakfast
Stay was too short!
There was no opportunity to order breakfast in Booking.com as well there were troubles with invoice preparation.
Far away from the old town
Staff is very friendly and helpfull. Very good breakfast Fast wi-fi. Big parking (protected with security) close to hotel (150metres) (great if you are travelling with car). Only 3 eurs per night.
Location is a little bit funny because of the old wooden houses; sometimes drunk people having fun around in the evening. But this does not effect your stay in hotel.
Price Decor Cleanliness Desk open all hours
A bit far from town, a short trolleybus or tram ride.
The wifi is excellent
The location made one to feel some sense of insecurity
Location and breakfast
Everything better than expected for the price. Late arrival OK.
Not in the centre, but you get what you pay for. A short tram or trolleybus ride.
Price and quality
Very dangerous area
Small room with tiny bed Soundproofing is horrible - you can hear everything from the neighbours' room Bad hotel surrounding (I won't recommend to walk there alone in the evening)
Situated right next to the tram stop (tram No 7 Daugavspils stop - connects with the centre of Riga, goes directly to the bus station). Super friendly and helpful staff. Clean. Nice small work-table (which I needed). Reasonable price. Nice view from the window (trees, some old buildings).
Should have been an elevator, although I personally did not need it.
The wifi was strong as an ox. Breakfast was very good by hotel standards. I particularly liked the crepe style pancakes. Staff was attentive & spoke near perfect English. Bed was 2 singles however, when I pushed the together the sleep was good.
The location is a bit off old town however, if u walk briskly your there in 15 minutes. The tram is quick & easy & can drop u in old twn in 5 minutes. Tram stop is 50 meters walking distance from hotel doorstep. TV had limited channels & some teased you with no sound.
The area and particularly the view through the window
Budget hotel located close to city center (3 min by car). Hotel quality similar to Ibis budget. Good wifi. Surrounding maybe not perfect, but I felt secure. Breakfast ok. Good pancakes. Accept pets, price per pet = 10 euro.
No lift. Small rooms and even smaller tv.
It's a quite new hotel for a resonable price, everything was rather okay.
Hotel was nice but district around hotel was awful and we don't risk to go out at night, name is Maskavas Forštate...
Tram from Old Town # 3,7 or 9 gets you to the front of the hotel. Wifi worked great and was fast. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was okay. Coffee very good!))
In Summer must open the Window at night and it is on a busy street but this is expected in a hotel in the city.
The beds were very comfy and location great from central city.
The breakfast could have more fruit and bigger choice of hams.
Very clean, tidy room. Helpful staff who explained everything for the secured parking, how to get downtown etc.
We had to pay for using the iron, which is just not cool. No wardrobe in the room, just a table and a shelf where you can put your stuff.
I've stayed at Dodo 4 times now and it is a great value new hotel.excellent staff, comfortable rooms, a free 5min phone in lobby to call OS! Trams right out front and a shop too!!
Area a bit dodgy at night but dont venture too far and theres no prob!
Too noisy int the mornings (trams!).
Staff was very polite in the reception
Smell in the room Breakfast was really poor, no space to eat. Too many visitors
