Opened in 2008, the Hotel Edvards is a family-run hotel in a quiet part of Riga's centre, just 3 blocks away from the historic old town. It offers accommodation with free Wi-Fi. Excellent value for money. Room was comfortable and well furnished. Breakfast was very good. The staff were exceptional, very friendly and helpful, probably the best I've met in any hotel. Location is good as well, only a short walk from all major sites in Riga. Overall I was really impressed with the hotel and would definitely stay again.

Location is perfect and staff is very friendly and helpful! warm floor in bathroom is very good for winter. walls are very thin and one can hear everything that happens in other rooms and corridors.

Everything was just wonderful. The staff was helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good: there were hot dishes, fresh vegetables, a choice of juices, very good coffee. The old city is a 15-minute walk from the hotel. Near the hotel there is a shopping centre with Rimi supermarket in it. There are a lot of cafes and restaurants including Lido in the same street with the hotel.

As ever, the atmosphere and the cosiness. The personnel (Rita Steina, Ilze Veinberga and all the others) is very attentive, friendly and helpfull. A stay in hotel Edvards means that you'll always choose this hotel in the future.

Location in the city centre but within some distance from busy streets. Nice, English speaking, helpful staff. Quite spacious room and bathroom (big shower enclosure!). Magnetic card-operated door and lighting.

The location of the hotel is magnificent, right next to the city center, and a couple of blocks from one of the larger shopping malls (Riga is very inexpensive). The personnel staff is very helpful, specially Ilse, who gave us very nice tips regarding the restaurants, we went to one of the best pubs we've been to after one of her recommendations. The rooms were comfortable, albeit a bit hot, since there was no air conditioning, and the breakfast was decent for a 3* hotel. As we mentioned, there was no air conditioning, so the room was a bit hot. Since it is in the city center, the room got noisy in the morning if you left a window open due to the heat.

Cozy small hotel. Good location. 10 min walk from the Old Town. The largest shopping arcade only two blocks away. Our room was quite small but the view (5 floor) was excellent. The white nights would require a more effective blackout curtain, so take a sleep mask with you. Very clean room with nice furniture. 30+ TV channels, however only two in english. No fridge in the room. Breakfast is served in a café corner of the lobby, cozy. The selection is not enormous, but of very good quality. The lightly smoked pork is very delicious. Very helpful and friendly staff. Car park in the hotel yard (you need to pay for that). We could keep our bicycles locked in a storage room.
