The place itself is an oasis in Gauja National Park, the scenery around and walking trails are amazing. We enjoyed the stay very much. We had already prepared dishes for ourselves for the weekend. Had we not, would definitely have dinner, as well as breakfast at the restaurant, since it looked super cosy and the food delicious. Highly recommend the place!

Karl is a very nice small hotel located in a very beautiful area. The beautiful banks and forests of the River Amata are a great place for a romantic and somewhat sporty walk. The surrounding nature is simply wonderful! We spent one night at the hotel and in the morning visited celebration of Cesis town holidays. The travel by car to the town center took only 15 minutes - a very lovely historical place.
