Great location. Close to everything in the old town. Staff very pleasant too. Hard to fault and great value also.
Ekes Konvents is a beautiful old building overlooking St Peter's chuch in the centre of the old town. It's a perfect location with friendly staff and comfortable rooms, Extremely good value for money with excellent buffet breakfast at a hotel around the corner. We had a fabulous 3 nights there and would happily stay there again.
good staff, middle of the town, good breakfest
The staff very sympathetic, very helpful and the charming sense of being in a 5 hundred years building.
The stairs, way too difficult to climb, the room wasn'clean at all, the bathroom floor disgusting, the cable tv I had to fix myself, wasn't connected, the breakfast is not at the hotel.
This hotel is right in the middle of the old town, the location is perfect. You will get a simple clean room with basic facilities and a good breakfast at a nice hotel around the corner.
Cleanness, friendly staff, location... I think this hotel is a really good value for what we paid. Absolutely recommended.
Excellent hotel, highly recommend for a stay in Riga
really helpful staff
shower impossible to regulate to a stable temperature: changes all the time between too cold and too hot
- location - historic 600 years old building - atmosphere - very friendly and professional staff
It was rather cold in the room and bathroom. Fan heater was very helpful but too noisy.
Amazing boutique hotel in the heart of Old City, staff very kindly and helpfull , room and bathroom very clean , rich breakfast . Great experience
a little bit noisy in the saturday night also in winter , along the way down a lot of people that enjoy the night
Perfect location in old authentic building, nice breakfast, very friendly staff and good wi-fi.
Too loud in case your window in front St. Peter Church. And too cold as the heating system is low-power.
Location & historic building. Value for money.
Was not a problem for me, but there is no elevator.
Location Staff Breakfast Historic building Clean
Toilets could be more modern (although they were very clean).
room bathroom noise
The location is prefect, close to every attraction in the old city. Very old building yet beautifully maintained. Very friendly staff. So glad we stayed there.
If you sleep with the windows open, you might not get enough comfy sleep because of the outside noise.
I loved the room decoration. Beds were also very comfortable. Hotel personnel was great. Location could not be better in the heart of the old city.
Unfortunately, there is no lobby/bar where you can have drinks.
Quirky Delightful receptionists
The location is really excellent, right in the center of the Old Town, close to most of the sights, nice bars and restaurants. The staff is very nice as well. The hotel is charming.
Its greatest advantage is also its greatest disadvantage:being so central makes it a bit noisy at night. Also, I like to sleep with blinds, and there were none in our room.
We actually had no chance to stay in this hotel as they explained us that the room was flooded. Since they offered us a room in the hotel next to the them and covered the difference in price, we were happy and did not bother investigating whether the lady at reception told us the truth or they actually overbooked. We chose it for the location, which is great if you do not mind noise from people enjoying themselves in Riga at night.
Very cosy atmosphere, Friendly and helpful staff, Good facilities, Very affordable price, Very homely room, Bed, pillows very clean and fresh, Best possible breakfast, very tasty and a wide range of food to chose from. Perfect location, very easy to get anywhere.
If the weather is hot, the room gets even hotter. No real chance to open windows during the night because of sounds from outside. No mirror in the room. Not enough space where to put all belongings. Poor internet connection.
The hotel is located in the old town, very close to everything. Staff were perfect! Very welcoming, eager to help. Room was clean. Breakfast was in a different location, but very good.
- It was tooo noisy. The room has poor isolation from the street. It is a very busy street in the evening and at night - music on, people are talking, running. Could not sleep until 3 am. - We slept with windows closed (because of noise and mosquitoes) so there was no air to breath and was quite hot since there is no air conditioning (it was July). - Wifi was not working. I would not stay at this place again. For this money it is possible to book smth much better in Riga. Sorry for this review, the lady at the reception was really nice!
Wi-fi was fine. The staff very helpful. Cosy, homelike atmosphere.
Beds making noise. Not very good air conditioning. Would like to have hills in the bathroom.
Friendly staff and good location
Cold shower, spotty Internet and hectic mediocre breakfast at locatin around the corner
Location in the heart of the old Town. Real vibe to the place , steeped in History very quirky and simple Warm, comfortable and spotlessly clean Great value open your bedroom shutters and close your eyes ! Restaurant next door superb food well presented and delicious
Breakfast arrangement's in adjacent hotel, getting timings wrong quite manic.
located in the heart of the old city
- small and uncomfortable room - no internet - no credit cards - breakfast in another overcrowded place - too expensive for what it offers
