La struttura. Caratteristica, accogliente, particolare. Inoltre è ben posizionato e facilmente raggiungibile.

Non c'era il minibar in stanza. La colazione non era a buffet, ma servita a scelta del bar. Ciò significa che bisognava mangiare quello che c'era e non è il massimo.

L'Ekes Konvents è un albergo grazioso e ben tenuto, in una posizione eccellente al centro di Riga. Il personale è gentile ed efficiente: chiedono il pagamento immediato all'arrivo, a differenza della generalità degli altri alberghi, ma questo non incide nella qualità dell'accoglienza. Le stanze sono graziose, pulitissime: bisogna fare le scale a piedi, un po' faticoso con una grossa valigia. La colazione è varia e buona. Si dorme bene, nonostante l'albergo sia nel cuore del centro storico.

The hotel is located right in the heart of old city - Riga and in a lovely historic building. The staff are very friendly.

The breakfast is quite poor and one has to pay extra for a decent coffee. The staff although very friendly know very little about Riga, its monuments, museums, etc. That was very dissapointing. The internet wasn't working when I was there.

we had separate entrance from the street for our room with our own keys, that was very private to aware that and we didn't see reception or other guests during the trip, we could come late not desturbing anyone. We only came to reception before breakfast and once we had missed our bus they were so kind to let us stay there for a while. By the way on our arrival to Riga we were allowed to move in at noon instead of 3pm. The staff was absolutely polite and helpful.

we were prepared to the fact the hotel is old so had not special grievances. Only what we have expected: light smell of the old building, sometimes there was a quite strong smell from the restraunt on the first floor. Also right under our window there was subbufer constantly paying music starting from 11pm to the 8pm)) but that was rather interesting as we like romantic mood of Sade songs))

For us it was perfect. It was in keeping with the ambiance of the old town and had all the facilities we needed. The staff were laid back, friendly and helpful. I like small hotels and this felt very Latvian - which is what we wanted.

Hotel has great location in the city center. Hottel stuff is pretty friendly and hotel offers great value for the money.

Staff and location is perfect! I like the style of this hotel very much, it's quite cozy. That's why we chose this hotel. + there were no problems with water and heating.

Dislike: 1) it's too loud there, we heard everything from the street and our neighbours... 2) breakfast is quite poor 3) it's not white and new bed linen and towels... old and need to be changed... (cleanliness is most important factor for me, so room was clean, but towels and linen were not extremely awful, but could be better) 4) too small room. but all this negative sides are not so important if you are in a good mood and come to Riga for positive impressions! ;)

I liked the fact that it is a historical very old building

the fact that there is no elevator. No table in the room no chair no telephone no drawers. no dark curtains on windows

Perfect location, tasty food served at the dining hall in the morning, very nice personnel at the reception desk. The hotel is perfect for one- or two-night stay.

Two were two disadvantages I could mention: firstly, no tea-set or wine glasses in the room. And secondly, a mature traveler would be disturbed by noise of the fest outside (it was the Latvian Independence day celebration). Nevertheless, for a younger visitor everything should be fine.

The ancient history of the hotel cause we lived in the building of 15th century. The window open the view to the St.Peter Church - the big and monumental building as I ever seen. We saw only the part of the Church's wall, and stone-paved road with short Middle century's bank made of big old stones.

It is very cold in the room so you should ask the heater at the beginning of October.

Proximity to historical buildings of Riga.good breakfast provided by neighbouring restaurant.

Excesive noise from outside - buskers until late at night on first night, drunks in early hours of morning on second night.
