Bijzonder prettig hotel met vriendelijk personeel en een uitstekend ontbijtbuffet. Het hotel is zowel buiten als binnen een schitterend gebouw , gelegen tegenover een fantastisch park.

lovely old historic hotel hotel restored as it should be ! with the greatest ceilings ever ! big lovely room,the food is excellent and much cheaper than a stekhouse in town.walking distance to ld and new town will be back :):)

The staff was very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was very tasty and rich. Also the hotels location was very central to all important things to see.

The hotel itself is beautiful and the rooms too.

Hotel is badly kept - rooms are untidy with hair in the bathroom and even bed, tablecloths in restaurant dirty and also walls were rotten in the room where first was offered. Bedclothes are worn out too. Karaoke bar in the basement is placed next to elevator, which means very loud noise throughout night in rooms next to elevator on any floor. Definetly will not go back to that place.

My friend liked the most the possibility for a smoking room.

Cost for dogs huge, 30 eur dog/night. Parking also charged 13 eur.

Free wifi. Reception advised of double booking.com reservation and explained what they would like me to do to prevent them being charged twice in a courteous fashion. Receptionist was friendly and advised me on places to visit. Stunning building. Short walk to the old town and shopping centres.

Two singles instead of a double in the room - although I am sure I could have changed rooms if I bothered to ask. Having to phone the hotel to gain access to the car park - a buzzer or something similar would be useful. No tea/coffee making facilities in the room

An elegant 19th century building with lovely period features, including stained glass and intricate plasterwork. Good breakfast, comfortable beds, great bathroom, efficient, smart service, excellent location between the old town and the art nouveau section.

The rooms at the front are a bit noisy, as they front onto busy Barona Iela with its trams etc. Bizarrely in the middle of winter with temperatures well below freezing outside, the hotel was uncomfortably hot (but that's subjective).

Great luxury and history. The Hotel has been renovated and retains many of its original features. Very good service excellent breakfasts, and food in the bar and in Benjamin's resturant. High quality service throughout. Large well equipped rooms.

The noise from the karoke bar. Two rooms (we were a part of 8 with 4 rooms) were affected from Friday to Sunday night.

The high ceilings in the room, good plumbing and a bed.

There is no sneakers in the room (but they brang them to us ehen we asked ), water (for drinking)in the room was too expensive.

All good. I can give you a small tip. If the hotel is not full you can upgraded the rooms. Give the client better room than they booked :) that cost nothing for you, but will make the client feel very special! Also for breakfast is nice to sit at the set table(breakfast setting- cutlery, tea --cofee cup, napkin, milk jug, sugar on the table., with the staff offering tea , cofee:)

Good location not too far from the old town, spacious and confortable rooms, good breakfast. Heat from the groung in the bathroom

.Not enough light in the room .too many employees present at breakfast, you feel a little bit watched...

The Building is extraordinary, Beautiful architecture and restored interior from the 1890s. The food was excellent and the staff were excellent also.
