In the very heart of Old Riga, nice old building, good breakfast, helpfull staff.
Do not have tea kettle in the room, need refurbishment, the most surprising moment was the dirty pillow in my bed...
The hotel is very well located for walks around the old town. The room was small but enough for one night stay. The comfort of sleep is high, breakfasts are nice.
We booked a room with a double bed but got two separate beds put together. Wifi is not for free. Parking is expensive (25 euros per night).
Location, historic property, front desk and bell desk staff were lovely.
Not a good value for the money...Shabby 'suite'...Mold in bath, scratched wallpaper and furniture, worn carpet, thin quilt/no extra covers or pillows, disastrously shabby robes, terrible unprepared breakfast staff and just OK food. All easily repairable. Clearly owners/mgt just don't care.
Very good location and we got a very nice room. Clean and nice ! Good value for the money.
The range out of breakfast would have been good...IF the servingplates not would have been empty, most of the time !! Extremely poor control what was needed to be replinished constantly, slow service and constantly insisted to just filling one thing at the time, even if most of it needed to be filled. Breakfast could have been great, but slow staff made it really bad !!
The hotel is perfectly located across the road from Townhall Square. It occupies an authentic ancient building and is very quiet despite the central location. The room design is interesting and the breakfast is quite good. The staff are friendly and helpful. We appreciated the airport transfer and the free bottle of sparkling wine on New Year's Eve.
We had to write down our credit card number as a guarantee for the mini-bar. I believe it violates banking security rules.
Location is central,
in times of free wifi being a standard in most of hostels, it is rather disappointing to see petty maneuvers like these. Place soon will need a substantial face-lift
The place is perfect in the center of the old town.
We didn't like the room it was quit cold and without windows(it had three small the the ceiling) but it was dark.
Friendly helpful staff great location breakfast out standing good choice English and continental style food
Room a little cold but this is being critical did not spoil stay
Breakfast was good.
No towels,or free bottle of water or tea,or coffee ,tv could not see properly,no signal. For 4 star hotel that is unacceptable.
Really helpful staff, very friendly and welcoming. Good selection at breakfast. Superb location, right on the doorstep of the old town. Bus 22 from airport drops you a few hundred yards away for 0.6 Euro's if you buy it from the machine. We didn't step foot into the bar, but it looked amazing through the window!
Room a bit small, but hey, we got a bargain rate!
Huge suite With terasse.
The extra bed was uncomfortable
Atmoshere, interior, breakfast
Great breakfast, good location. Offered baby cover without notice in advance, Administrator was extra helpfull.
Rooms don't match the quality which was described. I would like to spot that the room on the fifth floor was very old, without any sound proof, thus it was a disaster to live there. By changing the room, we expected to get a better one, but the room on the third floor wasn't good itself either, the windows were so old that the wind started to go through and it was very cold in the room then. In terms of breakfast, the food that we were given was cold and not tasty at all, the cutlery wasn't clean as well, such a disappointment. Moreover, the accommodation was itself very gloomy. As I said before, rooms didn't match the entrance and high-end lobby. And I would like to say that there was no parking for cars which made me go to the public parking and pay 3 euros per hour. To be honest, the resume and the lobby looked great but old fashioned rooms and poor food without auto parking made everything so much worse.
Attitude and courtesy of staff
Impossible to open shampoo and shower gel
Location, food, very nice room, bed, and bathroom.
Staff were welcoming and very helpful .
