Accommodative location, user friendly personnel, excellent breakfest.

No evident deficiencies.(maybe, WiFi being paid for)i

The location, in the old town centre. The staff were very friendly and welcoming.

Hotel in great location. Has a bar and club. Friendly staff. Hotel described as 4* . The hotel could be 4* but our room was not. 3* at best, however the decor was warn, not as clean asit could be. Skirting boards dusty, carpets stained and headboard gruby. It lacked the attention needed for a good room. That said it had character and good location. No parking so have to use public parking. Cost : 20Lts a day.

Attention to detail. Dated furnishings, not clean enough.

I'm actually from Riga, but living in Norway now. This was already the second time I am staying at this hotel and am quite pleased. I wanted my room with a bath tube and got it. It was quiet in the hotel and no noise from the street or from the bar and night club which are located on the first floor at the hotell. Security personnel were very smiling and cute boys. They always greeted at. Rooms were cleaned. When I arrived I got two coupons - 50% for 2 drinks at the bar from girl at the reseption. Have not used the opportunity since there were no people in the bar when we got there on Friday and we just went to the another one pub.

Girls at the reseption was not so smiling. It was actually quite rarely they said "hei". Breakfast was poor.

Where did all the tea/coffee making facilities go in hotels these days?!? We couldn't get a cup of tea past breakfast.

the room it was very bad and the gest need to show passport to visit you during the day it was very selly. and the show some very nice room when i meck boking and when i am there the give anther and very bad room.

The location was great. Breakfast was excellent. The bar staff and staff in the little coffee shop were great.

The room was tiny. The reception staff were snooty. the bottom sheet on my bed didn't reach the end and even when room serviced it wasn't fixed until the last day

I stayed in a single room, which was really quiet tiny, but on the other hand, I got used to it.

I liked everything about Hotel Garden Palace, and namely its wonderful breakfast buffet, great and advantageous location, excellent service and a very convenient transfer service from\to the airport, and above all I adored its antique style of the interiour.

The location is perfect. Breakfast was great. Halls and stairs are very nicely decorated. Loved it.

1) It was loud at nights. The noise control is zero - I could hear everything in the hall, I could hear my nabour taking shower and every night I had to listen to disco at a bar downstairs (either hotel bar or some other bar). If you are looking for a truly quite place - this is not for you. 2) although my room was very clean it looked as if it wasn't renovated in years - head oil stain at the bed, some other stains on the walls, the sink was half-broken (the water didn't run through easily). 3) I expect to get somewhat good (even branded) shampoos and showergel at 4-star hotel. Well, nothing like this here. These things weren't any good. And, which is dissappointing, they never leave more than 1 sachet of showergel or shampoo per night.

The decor was fantastic. The photos on the internet are representative of the reality!

Coffee at breakfast was not great. Would have been useful to be able to put the shower in the junior suite on the wall.

Always wondered in this hotel, that how can they manage such plaec in such price-level? Absolutely luxorious atmosphere, you cannot be more in the centre of Riga like there. Add tasty breafast and friendly and english-speaking stuff and you will need no more.

if anything, then at least in my room the bathroom was for a person with max 100kg of weight. So, for really fat guys there is no hope to get into the bath, I think?

the hotel is exactly as you see it through the pictures of the web site; our room was spacious and very nice and was facing the main square (the backside of the black heads buildinng); breakfast was excellent, good choice and very good quality; we were on the motorbikes and private parking was about 200 mt from the hotel, not a major problem at all !!

Excellent location. A very beautiful old building magnificently renovated in a very quiet part of the old Riga. The room and the bathroom were large and no sound could be heard from other rooms, despiste the large number of guests that stayed in the hotel in one of the nights. A truly four stars design hotel.

The problem is the poor service, mainly during breakfast. If you want fruit salad, wake up early. They only have a small bowl available for all guests, independently of their number. And when it finishes no one brings you another one! Fried eggs, pancakes, bread, etc follows almost the same pattern. They still appear but very very slowly and in a very small quantity each time. In one of the three days we stayed in the hotel, even for plain coffee we had to wait more than 10 minutes! We and the other guests! Honestly, in which concerns to the breakfast service even a two star hotel offers a better service. And the breakfast room is also too small!

A very beautiful inside and a very warm interior. Intimate atmosphere , we all enjoyed staying with you very,very much !!
