This is rather a motel than a 3 star hotel. What I got, however, was fine for what I paid. The vicinity of Gulbene is quite interesting and worth exploring. Это не 3-звездочный отель, а мотель, где можно просто переночевать по дороге. За эту цену, впрочем, грех жаловаться. В самом городке и округе есть что посмотреть! Poor sound insulation from the floor above my room. Плохая звукоизоляция со стороны верхнего этажа: я мог слышать шаги гостей из номера надо мной.

Good location We booked it mostly because of a promised workout room, including a picture on the web site, when we asked where it is we were told that it had been shut down quite a while ago. The TV did not have the primary Latvian channels - mostly Russian

Kunnollinen aamupala puuttui. Nettitiedoissa luvattua pysäköintipaikkaa ei ollut. Olisin tarvinnut suksien huoltopaikan, olin kilpailemassa hiihtosuunnistuksen veteraanien MM-kilpailuissa Madonnassa. Huonot maantiet.

Хороший отель по соотношению цена-качество. Останавливались на 1 ночь в ноябре, не хотелось уезжать. Приветливый персонал, чистота, просторный номер, вся сантехника новая, свежий ремонт. Понравилось, что номер нормально отапливался (что для Латвии удивительно - в других отелях "зажимали" тепло - я так понимаю, цены на отопление высокие, но почему должны страдать туристы!). В Гульбене же наоборот, было тепло, в кран подается горячая вода без ограничений.

Direkt gegenüber gibt es einen Supermarkt. Da man nicht unbedingt damit rechnen sollte, im Hotel ein Frühstück zu bekommen, ein großer Vorteil. Die Chefin nimmt zur Berechnung des zu zahlenden Betrags einen überhöhten Tageskurs und weicht auch nicht davon ab. Keine Spur von einem Fitness-Center. Riesiges Zimmer aber nicht mal ein Kleiderschrank. Wáhrend meines zweitägigen Aufenthaltes wurde das Zimmer nicht gereinigt.

Tiiriiba, atrashanaas vieta, cena. Numurinjaa viena elektriibas rozete, taalu no gultas arii televizors, virs gultas nav naktslampinjas-iemiegot jaaceljas izleegt lielo gaismu :)
