the hotel staff were very helpful, and the position of the hotel was excellent

the hotel heating system was inadequate and the hotel was quite cold, especially the bedroom. the bathroom had no heating and was very cold

This was a lovely, well situated hotel, which was of a high standard and one of the nicest rooms we have stayed in and we have stayed in a lot! It was very "oldy worldy" with beams and slanted floors which added to the character of the hotel.

TV reception was poor but that was apparently the same in all of the rooms

we were on a stag do of 15 lads, and the staff were very accomodating to our banter

no safe in each room, only a single security room at reception. In some rooms the floor was sloping. Quite low ceilings in some of the rooms, and would accidently bang my head on wooden beams

Marvelous location, friendly and helpful staff, distinctly different rooms and hotel suitable for exploring a medieval city oh and a great rooftop restaurant/bar

I thought that the price was a little on the hight side. The bathroom was not easy to use with all the beams running through it. Breakfast was a little basic

Perfect location in Riga's Old Town.

They say that on-street parking is free. But it's only if there are available spaces. Wi-Fi signal did not reach my room, but worked well elsewhere in the hotel.

The roof terrace was a uniquely enjoyable feature to the hotel, serving good food and plenty of beer and offering panoramic views of the river and the cathedral. Friendly staff and a most comfortable bed made it a very worthwhile stay.

Excellent location. Cosy and comfortable rooms in a former old house. Typical of Latvian housings. Breakfast really ok. Staff was nice and available.

Basses from a club nearby were slightly heard on Friday night but it was not too loud not to sleep aand stopped at 1am. It would rather be considered a very good 3 star hotel in France, not a 4 star, but we were aware of it.

Buffet breakfast is poor.

Einzigartiges kleines schickes Hotel in der Altstadt von Riga, in einer kleinen Seitenstraße direkt neben dem Dom. Sehr schnörkelig eingerichtet, kleine kuschelige Zimmer, im älteren Teil des Gebäudes mit schiefen Fußböden, Dachschrägen und offenen Balken, die den Räumen ein ganz besonderes Flair verleihen. Aus der 5. Etage hat man einen wunderbaren Blick über die Dächer der Altstadt. Da wir im Winter dort waren, war die Dachterrasse nicht zugänglich. Es muss fanstastisch sein, dort im Sommer zu sitzen und bei einem netten Getränk auf die Stadt zu schauen!

Leider hatten wir keinen Safe im Zimmer und W-Lan funktionierte auch nicht. Es gab aber im Foyer einen Computer über den man kostenlos das Internet nutzen konnte. Das Frühstück war sehr "überschaubar", aber da der Zimmerpreis im Dezember wirklich enorm günstig war und überhaupt nur eine Handvoll Gäste im Hotel waren, konnte man locker darüber hinwegsehen. Um die Ecke gibt's tolle Cafés und Konditoreien, in denen man hervorragend und unglaublich günstig schlemmen kann...

Hotellet har en egen historia i och med att det är ett ombyggt gammalt tryckeri och det har man tagit tillvara i inredningen på ett mysigt sätt och det bidrar till känslan när man ändå bor i gamla stan i Riga. Frukosten var över förväntan och det är generöst att kunna äta den ända fram till 10:30. Vi var där i gråmulna oktober med upplevde ändå mycket värme i hotellmiljön och från servicepersonalen. Passade oss, ett medelålders par med intresse för såväl arkitektur som politisk historia.
