Hotel Gutenbergs    

The staff is very efficient and friendly. Decoration of bedrooms and reception very nice, breakfast excellent, waiters very smiling. The location of hotel, quiet, space room. Everything is excellent for this hotel. We will return to this place. Sure.

Breakfast, restaurant, atendent that did my check-in (don't remember the name) on 10/April, about 11:45 a.m.

Although it is a no smoking room, it was smelling cigarette smoke. Elevator doesn't go to every floors. Early breakfast very poor, only a sandwich and a banana, no coffee. I don't rate this hotel as 4 stars.

This hotel had a lot of character and my single room was so spacious and clean with a good cheap and well varied mini bar. The location was only a couple of minutes walk from the No 22 airport bus and was easy to find as it was beside Dome Cathedral. A very varied breakfast selection.

The breakfast was FANTASTIC. The room was new, spacious and with a nice bathtub. PS. Next time I take a room not facing B-Bar :)

The floor in our room was sloped, so we had to do some adjustment to the room arrangement to get a good night sleep :)

Loved the interior of the hotel, and the waitresses wearing traditional costume. The location was just right.

The bedding was very poor, the pillows half size and the duvet didn't reach the side of the bed.

В номерах холодно. Видимо, в связи с дороговизной энергоносителей батареи были чуть теплые. Спать приходилось под двумя одеялами и покрывалом.

Excellent location in Old Town Riga, friendly English speaking staff. Really good value for money.

Bar opposite was noisy on Friday & Saturday nights. Ask for a room at the back.

The hotel is really nice and the location is perfect if you aim to stay in the Old Riga. Room (302) was clean and big enough, really cannot complain. Breakfast also was a good one like few other hotels in the Baltics. Also, I've eaten at their restaurant and the service was great and food really good and tasty. It's possible to leave your luggage at the reception and in general staff working there is really nice and helpful.

Three things: - you hear everything coming from other rooms and corridor. Hope they have heard me as well at this point. At least I was not watching tv (same problem encountered in other hotels in Riga). - internet. I've asked for a room with good internet connection and it was basically impossible to surf. This is a problem I've encountered also in other hotels in Riga, so probably it's not entirely their fault, but still. - final price: They have cheated me with the conversion Latvian Currency --> Euro. The total cost should have been Ls 114 but I payed € 207. This can be shown anytime (just contact me), also the conversion they calculated (there's their signature on it), I won't throw the receipt. My fault (stupid me most probably) but they have cheated on purpose. Also, the guy in front of me was complaining because they charged him things from minibar that he did not take. But this is another story and does not belong to me. Very bad because the experience was simply perfect, until check-out. I'll be back to Riga soon and let's see if I'll get at least a reply from them.

Everething war very good, the location is perfect. Old style hotel in the center of the city.

The hotel is placed just near the main town cathedral! Rooms are large and designed as it were really old-time villa. Good breakfasts.

Room was very nice nad comfortable. Location is perfect, in the old town and very nearby of the bus station. Price was very good through booking.com. Recommend!

The hotel was centrally located in the Old City of Riga with an abundance of landmarks, restaurants and shops within walking distance. The surroundings gave a peaceful impression with no apparent pickpockets, prostitutes or other kind of unwanted activities. I highly recommend Hotel Gutenberg.

I would have wished that the entrance to the street was locked at night.

A great boutique hotel with great comfort in the middle of Riga! A wonderful explanation of the print history and Mr. Gutenberg! Excellent breakfast! Even the 3 kinds of omelets! A tasty beer "Valmiermuiža" at the bar in the basement. Perfect value of price and quality!

Great position, good price

I appreciate unique atmosphere with wooden beams in my room, great view upon Riga roofs and nice staff, perfect breakfast. For the first time I enjoyed the smell in a room!

There is a bar opposite to the room windows that serves outside tables ve-ery late so it was difficult to sleep

Great Old Town location, friendly & helpful staff, cozy, spacious rooms, good breakfast.

No bar at the lobby, but it's not a big deal as there one across the street and more within "few steps" walking distance from the hotel.

Great location just near Cathedral square. Comfortable room with all you need.

The restaurant closed on Sundays ... and we were there on Sunday.
