Loved the location, the cleanliness of the room, the view and the room size. The place is easily accessible by car, safe parking, good starting point to access many locations in the city, both sides of the river. The breakfast was simple but plenty, good quality food and coffee. The staff is pretty cold, seems as they just do their job at gunpoint. I don't usually make too much friends with reception nor need to be pampered with their love, but a simple "how are you?" or "is everything fine?" can do miracles sometimes. Nevertheless I'll gladly return to the place with hope it will change. Thank you, Hotel Vantis.

просторный чистый номер. тихое и несколько удаленное от городской суеты месторасположение. удобно при перемещении на машине и не очень комфортно если ходить пешком. приветливый и дружелюбный персонал. не то чтобы сильно не понравилост, но хотелось бы чтобы завтраки были поразнообразей и постельное белье меняли по своей инициативе раз в два три дня, а не когда попросишь.

Enjoy watching the river traffic against the lights of the old town. 1.5 km from the nearest bridge over the Daugava, but you can leave your car in the parking lot of the department store, it's free, walk over the bridge and you're in the old town.

This is a small, but nice hotell. We had a good stay with big room and it was clean and with nice furnituring. Breakfast was good! It`s kind of a low budget hotel (we paid 50 euro a night) and it`s about 2km outside of the old-town and on the other side of the bridge. We came by ferry and its easy to find. Some has written on the comments that it`s in a bad neighbourhood but I don`t think its that bad. It`s outside of the city-centre.. Yes, and you can see very old crappy houses and new houses around I the area of the hotel. I believe it`s just a country, working hard to keep up after beeing independent as a country and you will see this all over the place. We had a motorcycle but it felt safe to park outside the hotel since they had a fence around the area. I`m sorry to say, the beds/matresses were not comfertable at all.and these were very hard and old.We like soft beds but If you are not to picky when it comes to the bed I would recommend this hotel if not, find another one.

Friendly staff, room was very nice in general. Great place to stay,when you don't want to visit Riga city center or even Old Town by foot. Location. Cant's say that is 15 min to Riga Old Town, more like 30 min and not so safe maybe (many old houses, poor local people), especially with children.

Nice clean hotel and rooms are as displayed in the pictures. Friendly staff. Hotel is not located in the best of areas in that many of the buildings are in a poor state of repair, however it's a great place to stay. Breakfast was a bit mean

Big 4* rooms for a 2* price with nice staff a great river view. It's simply a weird location. If you want to be in the centre of town or have bars etc that you can wander out to in the evening then the Vantis is not for you (it's surrounded by nothing but derelict buildings and the river) but if you want to enjoy the long evenings watching the river traffic against the lights of the old town then you can't do better!

Don't be scared away by the fotress-like looks. It's a nice, cozy, friendly and well balanced hotel. A very quiet but close to the city location, nice view to the river and interesting surroundings, a lovely private breakfast in the morning - this place is worth discovering.

Everything is really nice. Big room (about 30 m), air conditioning, TV, clean bathroom. The breakfast is quite good. Have hot meals. Very pretty city and river view from the room. Good price and comfort value. About 30 minutes by foot to the center of the Riga
