The hotel was located close to the city centre The booked room by booking.com was not given to us (2x standaardroom booked, 2x single room received) . Reception people did not care, manager not available : just send a mail, but pay first was the only reply. The hotel is very noisy and the rooms are not clean. Even the soap and showerjel were not replaced after cleaning. |

The rooms were very nice and location is very central. The access to the lobby of the hotel from the street was very steep for a wheelchair. If I was alone I would have never made it in or out on my own. |

The hotel is ideally situated in the Old Town and close to the bus and train stations. Some rooms have great views over Opera House, Freedom Monument, and gardens. The Air Baltic Airport shuttle bus drops off/picks up right outside the door. Hotel is a bit out dated, and you have to pay (12 Lats/hour) to use the pool and sauna. Breakfast was ok, stay if you get a cheap deal on the room. |

Ideally located with a 1 minute walk to city centre and local bars and eateries. Clean rooms and facilities, could not fault the hotel, perhaps more of a 3* than 4* though you would have to be "that" type of person to pick faults. |

Hotel furnishings very tired, rooms were clean and comfortable. Extremally noisy at night due to position especially at weekends. |

An old fasioned charm. Hotel with vast corridors which must have been a real gem 20 years ago. Lovely breakfast, excellent situation 9opposite the Opera House). Easy connections to the airport. Delightful. |

The room (junior suite) was big with a nice view to Opera, the location was very good near Stockmann and old town, a bus connection directly to Jurmala was very handy The water in bathroom was not very warm, unfortunately the staff told us wrong way (the wrong bus number) to the zoo, wallpapers in the room were quite old, breakfast coffee could have been better |

I booked four nights but stayed only one. There is nothing in particular wrong with this hotel as such. It would be ok for a guys weekend away but its 4 stars are decieving. I am often in riga and there are much better 4 star hotels than this. This is a good 3star hotel only in my oppinion. The most annoying thing was the 20 year old tv with its unwatchable reception. The bathroom needed updating and the room itself looked tired although it was clean. My oppinion it was just ok. |

Very well located near the old town centre of Riga. At the reception the (professional?) staff need to have some in-service training on how to be friendly. I never saw a smile. |

Very friendly staff, excellent location by a smaller canal not too noisy, few minutes from busstation and vaparettostation with connection to all parts of the town and the islands. The hotel is located near to Dorsoduro district with the charming Campo Santa Margharita, perfect for us who want to be a part of the life little bit "outside" of the most croudy tourist "steam". By the way, we had one of two rooms with a balcony stright to the canal. Great!! Only that it was not possible to get some eggs to the breakfast... |

Nostalgic hotel in very center of Riga. Room was like from 80'tis - the furniture, bathroom etc. Very soviet like - big oak covered walls etc. Recommend if you want feel what superb hotels were in soviet times but if you want to have something modern you might choose another hotel. There is quite complicated system of parking in Riga and signs/rules are only in latvian. Unfortunately hotel hasn't its own parking and you have to leave car to the street. Staff has no idea at all about parking rules next to their house - so you watch out to not get fine because of some latvian small sign placed somewhere. |

My stay at the hotel was very nice because of the friendly staff there.Especially the waiter at the restaurant was excellent. The food was also good and I can´t understand why there were not more people there. There could have been more international tv-programs. |

The location was excellent for accessing the old town bars and restaurants. The Hotel was clean, extremely comfortable and ideal for couples looking for a romantic weekend and friends looking for beer. There is little to do inside the Hotel, but we spent very little time in it other than sleeping. A great hotel at superb prices. Can't comment on breakfast as we never made it to breakfast! |

We had a Junior Suite which was a luxury. The advent of the summer season means that breakfast is now in the big dining hall on the ground floor so that the cooked breakfast was readily available. (In winter on the 2nd floor you have to order it.) We appreciate the space at Riga Hotel. Some of the staff were new and more efficient this time. Some of the previous "winter" staff are slow at refilling the breakfast plates. Our suite sofa had seen better days. |
