Very friendly staff, excellent location by a smaller canal not too noisy, few minutes from busstation and vaparettostation with connection to all parts of the town and the islands. The hotel is located near to Dorsoduro district with the charming Campo Santa Margharita, perfect for us who want to be a part of the life little bit "outside" of the most croudy tourist "steam". By the way, we had one of two rooms with a balcony stright to the canal. Great!! Only that it was not possible to get some eggs to the breakfast... |

Nostalgic hotel in very center of Riga. Room was like from 80'tis - the furniture, bathroom etc. Very soviet like - big oak covered walls etc. Recommend if you want feel what superb hotels were in soviet times but if you want to have something modern you might choose another hotel. There is quite complicated system of parking in Riga and signs/rules are only in latvian. Unfortunately hotel hasn't its own parking and you have to leave car to the street. Staff has no idea at all about parking rules next to their house - so you watch out to not get fine because of some latvian small sign placed somewhere. |

My stay at the hotel was very nice because of the friendly staff there.Especially the waiter at the restaurant was excellent. The food was also good and I can´t understand why there were not more people there. There could have been more international tv-programs. |

The location was excellent for accessing the old town bars and restaurants. The Hotel was clean, extremely comfortable and ideal for couples looking for a romantic weekend and friends looking for beer. There is little to do inside the Hotel, but we spent very little time in it other than sleeping. A great hotel at superb prices. Can't comment on breakfast as we never made it to breakfast! |

We had a Junior Suite which was a luxury. The advent of the summer season means that breakfast is now in the big dining hall on the ground floor so that the cooked breakfast was readily available. (In winter on the 2nd floor you have to order it.) We appreciate the space at Riga Hotel. Some of the staff were new and more efficient this time. Some of the previous "winter" staff are slow at refilling the breakfast plates. Our suite sofa had seen better days. |

Excellent location in Riga old town. Staff very helpful and had no problem changing us to a different room when we complained about the noisy lift. Breakfast was served till 10am but not much after at 9.30. good selection up to then. |

We used the hotel as a base camp for exploring the city The room was clean but old and in need of more remodeling. Wallpaper was old. Windows were broken. One night, other guests were partying with a music box in the public area of the hall, and when I called to complain I was told there was nothing that could be done as it was 9 pm. and the guests could make noise until 11 p.m. I was not expecting that response. |

The good thing was closeness to the city core. Hmm... that's about it. Rude personal, old and smelly rooms and bad service. Before the stay we were forced to reserve a deposition, not sure if we have got it back yet! |

The hotel is central in Riga It suppose to be a 4 star hotel, but it is more like a 2 star hotel. The rooms was big but the furnitures was well used and out of date. The TV did not show English channels and was old. The breakfast was ok but poorly served and the staff is generally not friendly and to young. |
