Hotel Riga is housed in a 19th-century building in the center of Riga's historic district. The Freedom Monument is just 220 yards, while Riga Railroad and Bus Station is just a 5 minute walk away. All rooms at Riga are simply furnished, bright and come with natural parquet floors. Each has a minibar, satellite TV and a small sitting area. All have a bathroom with a bathtub. A buffet breakfast is served every morning at the Palm Garden restaurant, which specializes in European dishes. There is also the Summer Terrace restaurant, where guests can try a selection of light snacks and drinks. Front desk staff is available 24 hours a day and can assist with currency exchange service or luggage storage. Guests can relax in the elegant sauna or on the terrace. Hotel Riga is 6 miles from Riga International Airport. The famous National Opera is just across the street. Old style with big space but with also some smell of old structure. I paid 2 rooms in advance, 1 for me and 1 for my friend who could not arrive. But I could have invoice only for 1 room

I found the breakfast quite good,and the staff friendly This hotel is a USSR era hotel,it liitterly has nothing in the rooms.The carpets are thread bare and the whole hotel looks very aged.The television has one english news channel,no hairdryer,very poor bathroom items (shampoo etc) There is a major problem with the drainage,the bathroom had a really bad smell...I stayed in one room at the rear of the hotel,which was so noisey it was impossible to sleep,I was moved to the front of the hotel,which was better,and the view was also much better...I have been to Riga many time and love this city and the people...but there are many hotels,much more comfortible than the Riga,which I think until it is renovated,has had its day

the interior, location and the best hotel breakfast experience so far. the obly thing I did not like - the annoying wi-fi connection what kept braking down so I had to enter the password pretty much every 5 minutes. all the rest was kind of perfect.

easy to find with a rented car it is very dark in colours....sorry , the more that we have just been at a funeral , it was very dark and made us more sad, although Riga is such a busy and happy city .

Very reasonable place to stay. The breakfast was very good with excellent coffee. Kind of a run down former 4 star hotel past its prime but nice elements of former luxury. Very large hotel - great for wedding parties, but potentially too loud because of this. The wifi was spotty. The carpeted well very worn and a bit of a tripping hazard. The hotel is past its prime.
